I am deeply incredibly honored and humbled to share that I was awarded Best Radio Presenter (Morning Show) – Lagos at the 7th Annual Nigerian Broadcasters Merit Awards (NBMA 2026)!
I dedicate this award to my parents who are no longer with us, but without whom I wouldn't be who I am today.
A huge thank you all who voted for me, my family and close friends for standing by me, and to the NBMA organizers and the esteemed judges for this incredible recognition. This award is a testament not only to my work but to the incredible team I get to work with every single day. Their support and dedication make every morning broadcast possible.
I'd also like to dedicate this award to our wonderful listeners at Nigeria Info FM, Lagos. Your energy, your calls, and your loyalty are the reason I love what I do. Thank you for making every morning an adventure! To the leadership team at Nigeria Info FM, thank you for making this the platform to beat.
This is a proud moment, and it motivates me to keep striving for excellence and to continue raising the bar in African broadcasting.

I spent 47 days as one of several thousand African migrants seeking to enter Europe through the Sahara Desert and the Mediterranean Sea.

Africa still has no permanent seat on the Security Council.
A 21st century Security Council without permanent African representation is unjust & indefensible.
We must reform the Council so that it reflects today’s world with the legitimacy and effectiveness that today’s challenges demand.
We are ready to break ground on the East Africa refinery in Lamu, a transformative project that will enhance the region’s energy security, deepen local value addition, create jobs and advance our industrialisation agenda.
Held talks with the President and CEO of Dangote Industries, @AlikoDangote, and the CEO of the Africa Finance Corporation (AFC), Samaila Zubairu, on the sidelines of UNGA in New York, USA, to discuss the financing and final preparations for commencement of the project.
The refinery will unlock new economic opportunities, strengthen regional supply chains and position East Africa as a competitive energy and industrial hub.
We are focused on turning this landmark project into reality and delivering tangible benefits for the people of the region.

Congratulations to the delegation of #Togo 🇹🇬 and the Africa Group on the adoption this morning by the #UNGA of resolution A/80/L.104, “Correct the Map.”
First endorsed by the African Union Assembly in February and officially passed at the United Nations today, this @_AfricanUnion initiative marks a historic step toward accurate and equitable global cartographic representation.
For centuries, the Mercator projection distorted global geography, shrinking Africa to the size of Greenland when our continent is actually 14 times larger. Today’s resolution promotes equal-area maps like Equal Earth across classrooms, media, and international institutions ensuring the world map finally reflects Africa’s true scale, weight, and place in the world.
Monday is the International Day for People of #AfricanDescent — a chance to celebrate the extraordinary contributions of the African diaspora around the world.

Indigenous Peoples are guardians of timeless ancestral knowledge and well-being.
Structural barriers and discrimination continue to undermine the recognition of Indigenous knowledge systems.
Their knowledge must be valued and their rights protected.

We condemn today’s launch of a ballistic missile by North Korea, which endangers the security and stability in the region. We urge the #DPRK to immediately stop the unlawful development, test and distribution of ballistic missiles, as required by multiple UN resolutions.
We call on FIFA members to ensure the sports body guarantees accountability for human rights. Step by step, FIFA must:
1. Re-establish a permanent, independent Human Rights Advisory Board
2. Reform the the FIFA Ethics Committee
3. Adopt a Human Rights Strategy - and take it seriously
4. Set up a compensation fund and ensure binding rights commitments future World Cup agreements
5. Ensure regular avenues for public and media accountability

An interesting debate to have. If we place all the facts side by side, Donald Duke and Rotimi Amaechi outperformed Mr. Obi as Governor. Now, this is not a judgment on their candidature for 2027, or an endorsement of any candidate. It's also not predictive of who will be the better President, but it's the honest assessment of their stewardship during their time as Governor.
Feel free to disagree, but come armed with facts.
