A woman who never smoked a day in her life, was diagnosed with lung cancer at 52. Her doctor's first question wasn't about cigarettes. It was about where she spent most her days.
Why?
I’ll explain…
“This is a graveyard, but only for dogs 🐕. More than 100 dogs are reportedly butchered here in a single day, as the centuries-old trade continues to support the local economy.”
A new documentary explores the history and reality of the Dawarki Dog Market in Plateau State.

“Gen Z has received a lot of insults, with people saying they don’t have sense. I worked at UBA for over three years, and this was a major issue when the policy was introduced. People are blaming the girl who was simply working based on a policy that was implemented, instead of calling out the organisation for introducing a policy they cannot abide by.”

Cambridge is going to do exactly what it did to me 3 years ago - use that supercilious, infuriatingly passive-aggressive British silence to distance itself from a public ritual lynching that it enabled and helped along.
Jason Arday was CLEARED of the plagiarism allegations by the way. His dissertation was reviewed by LJMU and he was found to have misattributed A SINGLE SENTENCE out of 146,000 words - misattributed, not copied! Meaning he actually credited that sentence to a source, but it was a secondary source instead of its primary source.
A disgruntled racist with an agenda seized on that ONE SENTENCE of wrongly attributed text in a 401-page dissertation and the entire uk academic community and media jumped on it, just like they did with Onyeka and I in 2023.
And what Cambridge did back then instead of backing me against the silly allegation of "misogynistic comments at my book launch" - comments that are still yet to be identified 3 years later - was to write me a letter telling me to stay away from the campus and "use my affiliation sparingly."
It was precisely because of this stupid letter that I put "2023 James Currey Fellow, @Cambridge_Uni" on my bio. I'm doing the exact opposite of what they wanted, and I dare them to come out and say anything about it.
I'm willing to bet that was exactly what they did to Jason, and that was probably why he resigned. I'll even wager that just as the slimy Dr Bronwen Everill was in my DMs during that episode pretending not to know what was going on and acting like she was helping me, there was probably someone from his faculty silently managing him and convincing him to stay quiet as he got ritually lynched, because that's how Cambridge behaves.
My lesson from this episode was that whether on a construction site in Wigan or in a faculty office at Cambridge, british racist lynch mobs all behave the exact same way, and you should never cave in to them and give them what they want (the satisfaction of your self immolation), or bother negotiating with terrorists like them.
Maybe it's because of their failed attempt with me that they shifted their attack towards a vulnerable autistic black man. They couldn't win against someone who could fight back so they selected a weaker, easier target. Which again is very typical british behaviour.
I'd sooner respect an Israeli Zionist settler before a fucking brit. An entire island full of the worst form of degenerate coward you have ever come across.
When the News Breaks You
I don’t even know how to start this one.
News reached me today that Professor Danbauchi (_(A renowned Professor of cardiology) @unijos@JosMedicine_ a name many know, a man who gave decades of his life to cardiology, to teaching, to healing has been kidnapped. I’ve read it, re-read it and I still don’t have words for the weight sitting on my chest right now.
This one hits different. Because it’s not a stranger. It’s not just another headline. It’s someone whose work touched lives, whose years of experience shaped how we understand and treat the heart — taken, just like that, by people who see nothing but a ransom figure where the rest of us see a healer.
I’m angry. I’m heartbroken. And honestly, I’m tired.
Because this isn’t the first time. It won’t be the last, either — not the way things are going.
•Vincent Uhegbu Maduka, a cardiologist, abducted after church service. Rescued, but only after gunfire.
•Prof. Olayinka Adegbehingbe, an orthopaedic surgeon, whose family had to scrape together millions in ransom just to get him home.
•Prof. Samuel Okunsebor, taken weeks ago, thankfully returned.
•Prof. Aliyu Mohammed, kidnapped in a raid that cost his own son’s life.
•Prof. Gideon Okedayo, who never made it home at all. Found in the bush, days after he was taken.
And now, if what’s reaching us about Professor Danbauchi is true, another name joins a list that keeps growing while nothing changes.
How many more years of experience does this country have to lose before something is done? How many more families have to sit by phones waiting for ransom calls instead of dinner calls? How many of us have to watch the people who trained us, who healed us, who built this profession — get treated like currency instead of the treasure they are?
I think about every young doctor reading this, still deciding whether to stay. I won’t pretend anymore. If you have the chance to leave — take it. Not out of hate for this country, but out of love for your own life. Nigeria has shown us, again and again, that it will not protect its healers. So protect yourself.
Tonight I’m holding Professor Danbauchi and his family in my heart, praying for his safety, praying this ends differently than it has for too many others.
We are tired of grieving people who chose to stay and serve.

Koundé: “That’s your problem.” 😭
Tchouaméni: “Shopping with Koundé is stressful. He’ll take you to stores you’ve never even heard of.” 🛍️
This is the moment that made many people laugh and shed tears during Mr Peter Obi’s interview with Chude. I never knew Peter Obi is this comic. Let’s be honest here on X, did you really laugh when you watched the video? Type your answer at the comment section
"I only want to see a better Nigeria. It doesn't have to be Peter Obi. I'm not looking for someone from my tribe, but for a candidate who has Nigerians at heart and can move the country forward, not one step forward and ten steps backward. So far, I haven't seen any better candidate than Peter Obi in this election. The truth is that governance doesn't affect only one tribe or region, it affects everyone."

Immigration is not the reason that you can’t get a hospital appointment, it’s the reason you can get one.
