BAT Kenya delivered a first half profit after tax of Kshs. 3.1 Billion representing a 3.1% year-on-year growth. The improvement came alongside higher net revenue of Kshs. 12.3 Billion, supported by recovering export sales.

Kenya has deliberately and consistently aligned its policies to position itself as a preferred destination for both local and international investors.

The Dongo Kundu Special Economic Zone in Kwale County is rapidly taking shape as a major investment destination, with several transformative projects at different stages of implementation.

I was impressed by the progress at Taifa Gas, where hydrotests are currently underway. The project is in its final phase and is expected to be completed within the next four months.

We also visited the Milly Glass factory, where construction has officially commenced, marking yet another significant investment in the SEZ.

The Government will continue to provide a predictable and investor-friendly environment that attracts quality investments, boosts exports, and creates meaningful employment opportunities for our young people.
