@idgafayoyo@Qyuwi_Ai@UrLocalNobbie well why does A24 get copyright of something that they didn't create? The concept isn't owned by them or anyone really except for that OP, and the OP clearly hasn't come forward so i doubt they care how it's used. Copyright filing is not the be all end all of ownership.
@idgafayoyo@Qyuwi_Ai@UrLocalNobbie False equivalence. Sony owns film rights through a licensing deal with marvel comics (the original creator) I very much doubt A24 tracked down the OP on a 7 year old 4chan thread to secure exclusive film rights to the concept.
@idgafayoyo@Qyuwi_Ai@UrLocalNobbie I don't understand how A24 or kane "own" the backrooms copyright when neither party is involved in it's creation. It makes sense with async and the bacteria monster but you can't own something you never got the right to own.
@spikira25@paledoptera I think that's because yellow isn't focused on being subversive like undertale and is just straight up there to build on the world
@Nerdrotics I dont understand why they don't just make a classic, episodic ensemble cast show like TNG, DS9 or Voyager. Nobody wants short, poorly written bingeslop shows that crap on the series' legacy. Star trek is not made for that format, but execs keep pushing it on us.
