@dullscytheraven@dailytobytrivia im pulling this out of my ass but im guessing one of the knight's attacks had bullets that were so fast that it was impossible to get hit by 2 bullets in a row because of the iframes, so iframes got reduced to compensate for that
i'm gonna go out on a limb and say this one
@dullscytheraven@dailytobytrivia i can see why they did this (mainly so they can have multiple chapters in production at the same time without worrying about merge conflicts) but also it leads to inconsistencies like this, and in general is preeetty bad practice in software dev lmao
@dullscytheraven@dailytobytrivia the reason its unique to chapter 3 is because functionally each chapter of deltarune is basically a seperate project file, so programming for one chapter wouldnt carry over to the other chapters unless they directly copy/paste it
the concept of a pure evil irredeemable serious character that is the father of the silliest boy in the world and says "I'M THE BAD GUY!!! MUAHAHAH" the first time you meet him
I can imagine an alternate universe where Undertale came out in chapters and people would be arguing that Undyne letting us have tea in her house and talking about friendship bracelets is a "retcon" of her character after she tried so hard to kill us
I had a Deltarune dream where you meet Gaster on Chapter 7, and after talking he mentions he doesn't have color. You get the option to color him and the game boots into a Mario Paint like minigame where you can color him however you want to.
Below is my recreation of that dream
don't really have a point here but
it makes me wonder if susie was even originally in the prophecy, or even in the world of DELTARUNE as a whole or if she was originally an "undertale character" and gaster somehow moved her over and canonized her existence
is it me or is it heavily implied in ch 4 that the deltarune prophecy is altered
the entire prophecy is a rhyming poem except for random lines, many of which coincidentally are also things that we know happen in-game
andrew cunningham brought up in their ink theory pt 1 video that "the white pen of fate" might be our soul, and that this exchange implies susie might be the "holder" of the soul in the future
considering the amount of weird parallels between gerson and gaster...
