@ShtLnd_ Yet none of this has decreased despite police and prosecutors wider and wider investigatorial powers in the last decade or so. I think it's much more likely that the centre-right is unwilling to combat far-right extremism or foreign influence due to fears of political backlash
@PedroPetizViana@POTFES Underfunded, swamped and toothless as a result unfortunately. The worst thing is that's unlikely to change as pretty much everyone is going to lobby against them and the largest parties in Europe are showing their opposition towards privacy anyway
@f4micom I understand the desire as the flood of small packages is a nightmare for the postal services and promoting consolidation of orders makes sense but the implementation of this just seems terrible. Especially pushing the responsibility to sellers meaning they'll charge service fees
@davepl1968@jimhamilton4 You'd have a bad time arguing that considering the law prohibits idling for longer than a certain period of time, not emitting more by idling than you would by turning the engine off.
The car would need to be off for quite a while for it to run open-loop for a considerable time
@AnalyticaCamil1@FinnishGear@ca_wald It's already not called Suomi in English? Calling Finland Lapland (also not the native name for the region) would be more akin to calling the Czech Republic Moravia or calling Turkey Thrace
@karianneee_@zachbussey@nutsky_en I may be misunderstanding how the law was written but you don't need to refund the customer for services that have already been provided/products and materials made to order
@knjokvy@fmjintervention@f4micom The reason why "FWD bad" is a silly is because you're dismissing good vehicles. That is a very different take from considering some cars to be hindered by a FWD drivetrain. FWD also has some very real physical constraints (RWD and AWD too) that can be mitigated but not removed
@sheebadigeebies As a fellow European I find its greatest crime to be how clunky the word is. It doesn't roll pleasantly off the tongue like a good slur or insult ought to.
@GafieldStan@YS3ED5 Alfa's lineup since WW2 has mostly consisted of sporty sedans, coupes and hatchbacks with oddball vans and MPVs. They do have racing heritage but normal cars aren't out of the ordinary for them.
@flynmt@MCCCANM I don't really think you can blame the plane too much when it would've flown fine had the cockpit been empty. It's just the unfortunate result of poor communication by inexperienced and panicked pilots.
It wasnt Ben Gvir who did this, the activists were beaten by ordinary israeli soldiers and police officers acting within a system that enables and normalises this behaviour
Ben Gvir was never the root issue, the issue is israeli society and state institutions themselves
