Prime Minister, you just spent a national statement on thirty masked men and a banner that asked the one question your government has spent five years and hundreds of millions refusing to answer.

I have been in this file since the 2021 GPR announcement. Those were soil anomalies, later walked back toward “potential burials,” never confirmed remains. Five years later there has been no completed excavation at Tk’emlúps. The band has received more than $9.5 million, with reporting that put a $12.1 million federal transfer against an investigation that still has not put a shovel through the orchard. The national Missing Children fund has pushed well past $285 million across dozens of sites. The only thing that has been consistently produced is process, security contracts, consultants, and a sacred-site option if consensus among dozens of nations never arrives. That is the record, not a slogan.

You call the banner “cowardly” and “hate.” The banner asked whether the bones exist. After flags at half-mast for months, church burnings, genocide language in headlines, DRIPA and title litigation that now treat oral narrative as if it were a surveyed register, the country is still waiting for ground-truth. A radar blip is not a body. An announcement is not a forensic result. You know the difference. You just will not price it.

Residential schools were a hard, documented chapter: overcrowding, disease, more than four thousand recorded deaths over a century and a half. That history does not require inflating GPR hits into midnight mass graves, then using the inflation to enlarge a second land operating system while fee-simple owners, banks and municipalities wait for a map that never closes. There is no reconciliation without truth. Truth, in this case, is a dated excavation, a chain of custody, and a public ledger of the money. You offered none of that. You offered the anniversary calendar.

I do not need a nationalist club to notice that Ottawa scores virtue when the question is rude and scores silence when the question is empirical. Citizens first means one public law, finished title, and evidence before narrative. You chose the caption. The orchard is still undug.
