So… you guys have been seeing @Kokomojinft all over X lately.

Everybody seems to be talking about it.

The timeline is getting filled with Moji, people are getting hyped, and the curiosity around the mint keeps growing.

But what exactly is KOKOMOJI?
And why is everyone suddenly paying attention?

KOKOMOJI {THE FACE IS JUST THE BEGINNING.}

There are NFT projects that try to convince you they are building the next big ecosystem.

Then there are projects that simply make you stop scrolling.

Kokomoji feels like the second kind.

3,333 unique faces, created by @iamnick44 , coming to Ethereum on September 9th.

At first glance, it is easy to see Kokomoji as another PFP collection.

I think that misses the interesting part.

Kokomoji is being presented almost like a piece of software you accidentally discovered on an old computer.

The website opens like a terminal.

ASCII art.
A fake media player.
Old-school computer aesthetics.
“Sound on.”
A countdown.
And these strange little faces sitting somewhere between cute, chaotic, robotic and completely unhinged.
Even the tagline tells you what kind of project this is:
“not just a face, but a face with stuff.”
And that distinction matters.

Because the appeal here isn't a complicated roadmap, token, staking system or game.
None of that has been announced.

The proposition is much simpler:

MAKE THE ART GOOD ENOUGH THAT PEOPLE WANT TO OWN THE FACE.

That is a surprisingly rare proposition in NFTs.

Kokomoji is a 3,333piece, ERC-721 collection on Ethereum, with the project describing the pieces as having zero duplicates and being assembled onchain.

The Moji themselves carry a very recognizable visual language
colorful, blocky, pixel-like faces mixed with kaomoji/emoticon energy.

It feels internetnative without trying too hard to explain that it is internet-native.

And then there is nick44.

This is probably the most important piece of the puzzle.

Nick44 isn't entering the space with a completely untested art style.

He is the artist behind Sproto Gremlins, another 3,333-supply Ethereum collection that developed a strong collector base around its chaotic and humorous art.
So Kokomoji isn't interesting simply because someone made 3,333 colorful faces.
It is interesting because an artist with an established identity is taking another shot at creating a recognizable universe and doing it with a completely different presentation.

That is where I think the real thesis begins.

The terminal website isn't just decoration.

The retro-computer aesthetic, the strange characters, the sound, the teasers and even the way the project communicates all feel connected.

There is an actual visual language forming around Kokomoji.

And in a market filled with projects trying to explain 17 different utilities before anyone has even seen the art, there is something refreshing about a collection that appears to understand the value of CULTURE and IDENTITY first.

There is also an interesting signal in the physical side.

Seeing a Kokomoji plush with Pokimane “Poki ❤️ Moji” gives the character something NFTs desperately need:

A life outside the mint page.

Whether that develops into anything bigger is impossible to know right now.

And honestly, it doesn't need to.

Not yet.

Right now, this is an ART-FIRST BET.
You're betting on the artist.
You're betting on the characters.
You're betting on the brand.

You're betting that these faces become recognizable enough that people don't just want to mint one rather they want to KEEP one.

That is a very different thesis from buying into a project because it promises a token, a game, staking and an ecosystem that hasn't been built yet.

Personally, I find that interesting.
Because sometimes the strongest IP starts with something incredibly simple:
A character you remember.
A style you recognize.
A community that feels like home.

And a creator who knows exactly what they are trying to make.

Kokomoji is still early.

There is no contract yet.
No mint price.
No token.
No staking.
No game.
No elaborate roadmap.

Just 3,333 faces, an artist with history, a very deliberate aesthetic and a growing amount of attention around the drop.

That makes this one worth watching closely.

Not because it is guaranteed to succeed.

But because if Nick44 manages to turn these weird little faces into a genuine piece of internet culture, the 3,333 number may end up being the least interesting thing about Kokomoji.

I have been seeing @Kokomojinft around lately, so I decided to take a closer look at what they’re building.

The idea behind Kokomoji is pretty simple:

not just a face, but a face with stuff.

The collection is set at 3,333 unique faces, assembled on-chain with zero duplicates. That smaller supply immediately makes it feel different from the usual 10k PFP approach.

But honestly, the artist is probably the biggest reason I’m paying attention.

Kokomoji is created by @iamnick44, the artist behind Sproto Gremlins and Fijis. You can already feel that personality in the designs pixel-ish, playful, a little weird, and full of character.

Even their website doesn’t feel like the typical NFT project trying to throw a 20-point roadmap at you.
