@Macrobysunil Well said! Now how does one own physical and yet maintain privacy and independence. Can't buy bread with Au. Need currency, paper or digital. If you can think of a solution, let us gold bugs know.
@financialsarthi Just bcos millions have invested in equities out of greed, should they be bailed out by the entire tax payers population? I have invested in land. Should the tax payers population ensure that I get a good return even if prices fall? Your logic is so flawed.
@vtchakarova With the current rulers, there is little chance that india will play a big role in international affairs. It is simply a large market for consumer goods such as soft drinks, chocolates, white and brown goods, cars, vehicles, etc. Religious superstition rules.
@MacleodFinance Various analysts have tried explaining gold's price rise and drops, trying to find correlations to real rates stocks wars etc. But none hold. The only explanation is interventions by THEM, whoever that is. At least I am convinced after following the gold mkt, it's interventions.
@Macrobysunil It's late, but may be the situation could be salvaged with coal gassification technologies. India has huge coal deposits. Since the ruling party has double, triple quadruple engines all over, why can't it take full control of the coal belts, drive out the mafia?
@NarendraGoswami Naren, what world are you living in??!!! India is fast moving towards destruction. Cannot be stopped. It's baked into the cake. Hopefully once destruction is complete, good times will come. Certainly not before 2047.
@ArmstrongEcon Inadvertently, Bessent gives away the fact that the bond market, in fact all financial, read paper, markets are a casino. As Chris Powell of GATA said correctly few years back that, there are no more any markets, only interventions.
@Macrobysunil Agree that short term oil revenues of iran falling, creates selling pressure. But that's just one nation. The rest surely understand the long term story. That should create demand everytime price falls. Not happening. There's more to it than the iran oil angle. Think suppression.
@Macrobysunil When price goes up by year end, is the PM going to make up the difference. Rise it will. Those who obey him will regret doing so. BTW, why is the RBI buying gold, while PM tells the peasants not to buy?
@Macrobysunil With all reputed analysts declaring that the US lost (or at least not won) the conflict with Iran, the so called correlation is gaslighting. In fact, the USD's backing by guys with guns is falling apart. Au should have been up huge in USD terms when US was unable to conclude war.
@Macrobysunil Trying to paint the tape below 4600 for gold for month end. From 1st Sep it will start upward movement. Of course, Jackson hole requires price suppression lest Warsh is left red faced.
@Ad_Tel_210168 This Pardip doesn't understand geopolitics at all. Saudi wanted Pak more than the other way around. Pak has an army that fights, pilots that fly and bomb, a navy that attacks plus the nukes. He is a typical low IQ andhbhakt who is brainwashed into "thinking" that india is a power
@Macrobysunil LBMA gold prices also down from roughly 4650 to 4600. There is divergence between MCX and LBMA, so may be import duty cut, small one. Cannot afford a big one. Crude import bill has gone up substantially. Need to make up somewhere. Higher tariffs from US. Btwin rock & hard place.
