When someone's crying don't tell them not to. Don't react at all. Letting someone cry is one of the most connecting and natural experiences two people can have.
@acnewsitics IDEA is still in effect and must be followed. Along state regs. These kids will still have 504s and IEPs and people like me that make sure they get the services they need.
When you finally realize that someone’s behavior has more to do with their internal struggle than it ever did with you, you learn grace. You also naturally learn detachment as well.
