NEW: A hundred mask wearing, anti-Israel protesters have reportedly been arrested for shutting down the Grand Central Terminal in New York City.

The group was reportedly assembled by a Jewish activist group who sympathize with Palestine over Israel as they called for a ceasefire.

I like Salam Fayyad, but this -- PLO’s recognition of Israel’s “right to exist in peace and security” -- does not cut it any more because it includes the "right of return." Now if recognition becomes Israel’s “right to exist [as a Jewish state] in peace and security,” that'll likely get things rolling again.
Also, Fayyad thinks Hamas should join the PLO. For that, you need to write an article in Arabic. Foreign Affairs readers can't really help with convincing Hamas to join PLO and recognize Israel as a Jewish state, and peace.
Anyway, these ideas might be too late now. Hamas will be gone by the time Gaza needs to figure out how to proceed the day after the war.
