@NEJM I would choose surgery , because of high recurrence rates and subsequent need for operation within 2 years. Surgery is even more necessary in low resource communities where access to safe surgery is limited and most patients present with complications later

• K⁺ 5.5–5.9 mmol/L: Monitor + remove potassium.
