CASE UPDATE:
Levi Nkosi (pictured) from JVN Asset Management, that was initially investigated by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (previously the Financial Services Board), and IRS Forensic Investigations, has been arrested.
The FSCA and IRS findings were fully investigated by the Directorate for Priority Investigations. The investigation was prosecutorial guided by the Specialised Commercial Crimes Unit of the National Prosecution Authority.
This arrest brings a level of justice to the victims who have been waiting many years for justice. Now the next step of the prosecution begins. It is expected that the State will oppose bail.
Our sincere thanks to the investigating officer, Lt Colonel Oscar Mopedi from the Hawks; as well as the TOMS tracing component of the Hawks.

An attorney practising in Mthatha filed nil tax returns for the years 2008-2013, claiming no taxable income. Following a SARS audit in 2014, which revealed substantial deposits in his bank accounts, SARS assessed his tax liability at R3.6m, including interest and understatement penalties of 150% for intentional tax evasion.
TaxTim has been bought by tech firm Octoco & TwoFold Capital.
This acquisition seems to push TaxTim to expand its product offering, as the advent of Auto-Assessments severely impacted the amount of "easy" tax returns that TaxTim used to file.
You actually don’t know what you’re walking into (or talking yourself into) when you say you want to quit your job and start a business.
Yet, you have to experience it for yourself to see what it’s like.
What tough is like.
My Journey to R1 Million with @EasyEquities
I am beginning to document my investing journey. My total portfolio value currently sits at R562, 774.00+, spread across active accounts: ZAR, USD, Tax-Free Savings Account, and EasyCrypto. I’ve also activated EUR and AUD accounts, which I will fund later as part of my expansion strategy.
So, why share this? Because I believe investing is often misunderstood. It's not a fast money-making scheme but a process that demands research, patience, discipline, and consistency. Too many people think it's about luck or timing the market. I want to show, through raw numbers and real decisions that sustainable growth comes from commitment over time
This journey is not only about reaching R1,000,000, but also about building a community of investors and business-minded people who want to learn and grow together. I will share which shares or funds perform well, highlight mistakes, and explain the lessons I learn along the way.
My strategy leans towards long-term growth with a mix of local and international equities, retirement savings, and exposure to crypto. Some weeks I might post daily, other times weekly, depending on how busy I am. Either way, this record will capture the wins, the losses, and the decisions that shape this portfolio.
If you’ve ever wanted to understand how investments really work, how to manage different accounts (ZAR, USD, TFSA, crypto, retirement, and later EUR/AUD), and what it truly takes to build wealth over time, this is for you.
This is Day 1 of my journey to R1 million. It won’t happen overnight, but through discipline and consistency, I will get there. And I want you to walk this journey with me.
To those of you who have inspired me @GenZInvestor4@YoungInvestor03@SoulFairy3 thank you. Your consistency, insights, and encouragement gave me the push to start documenting. And to the @EasyEquities team, bravo for creating a platform that makes this possible.
