@Goblinvox@elonmusk Yes. X or Facebook can allow, promote or demote any content they want. If you are seeking your news on one of these platforms, you are given a silo of information due to the algorithms. Don't like it? Go elsewhere.
@ChadGilmartinCA I want my politicians to be capable of change. It's a good thing evolve, to use current information to alter one's thoughts. That's a strength not a weakness.
@James_Sager_@elonmusk Read again. They knew it was their choice, which is stated twice in the letter. A law would mean they didn't have a legal choice. Governments communicate all the time with platforms.
You need to re-read the letter. Zuck says it was ultimately their decision, and they made decisions they now regret. That's not censorship. Had the administration threatened legal sanction--arrest, fines, etc--that might be an issue. Zuck is clear that Facebook made their decisions.
@EddyMac87@elonmusk "Inevitably it was our decsion..." Read the letter again. Threatening punishment would cross that line perhaps, but Zuck admits, Facebook made it's own choices. The government has and will always lobby private industry. Nothing wrong with that.
@Justanelectric1@elonmusk "Inevitably it was our decsion..." Read the letter again. Trump pressured news organizations all the time to not report on others. Nothing illegal there.
@laurenboebert I'm an American and not a Jew, but I can care deeply about Israel. Being a non-Jew does not preclude me from caring about Israel. I'm sorry, but you have an incredibly ignorant tribalistic outlook....or you're just a political hack with no concern for reality and common sense.
It's racist of you to put it that way. People of all colors know that generational wealth gives some considerable advantages in life. Increasing generational wealth with owned housing is the single greatest way to begin to create this wealth. Educational attainment also makes a huge difference.
