Canadian Healthcare is good but unless you are covered by a plan that you pay for it can be expensive as well.

People don't realize how far the government's hand is in our pocket. Is the Fraser Institute accurate? Maybe not but look at the tax on tax on tax we pay.

@selinarobinson You make me weep. Warehousing people who need help, ignoring the need for rehab and 2nd stage housing and spreading falsehoods like a fake profit. Crime and rat infestation is something that you have in your own backyard. Work on that before you insult another country's leaders

@salonium I have never, ever thrown a straw in the ocean (or a plastic tampon applicator).
If our "garbage" or recycling services are doing that... they should be held accountable. If you are throwing straws in the ocean, you should be held accountable.

@pleasantandy Nothing I like better than having to practically "beg" for a plastic straw when I take my handicapped grandkids out and then deal with the shamer's looks.
We carry straws (plastic and reusable) but not always on us at the time.
Why don't you ask for a non-plastic straw?
