Third confirmed #spillover of #HPAIV from wild birds into dairy cattle - a major escalation in the #HPAIV epizootic.

Taking off the guard rails of the above statement - the migration of H5N1 infected ducks and geese are now akin to hot embers, drifting between patches of dry forests (dairy farms) . Each ember has a recognized potential to ignite small fires.

These fires know no boarders and have the potential to ignite a viral firestorm.

Containment is becoming more of a fantasy than a reality. Human incidence continues to climb.
