🇺🇦 Ukrainian specialists have successfully tested a modernized version of the Soviet R-60 “air-to-air” missile. The outdated electronic components were replaced by the Ukrainian company Center of Innovative Technologies Program with modern digital analogs, which significantly improved the capabilities of the missile’s infrared homing head when intercepting aerial targets.
🔻 The modernized R-60 missile is intended for arming Ukrainian-produced Dragon-type anti-aircraft missile systems. When launched from a ground launcher, the missile’s engagement range reaches 6.5 km. The R-60 “air-to-air” missile was developed in the 1960s. Ukraine inherited significant stocks of these missiles after the collapse of the USSR.
This modernization is a practical and cost-effective solution that breathes new life into Soviet-era stockpiles. By upgrading the R-60 for ground launch within the Dragon system, Ukraine is rapidly strengthening its short-range air defense capabilities against Russian drones and low-flying aircraft without the need to develop entirely new missiles from scratch. This approach demonstrates efficient use of available resources and technological ingenuity.
The President of the European Council tried to establish a backchannel with Putin — but failed
According to Bloomberg, a senior adviser to European Council President António Costa held two phone calls with a high-ranking Russian official close to the Kremlin in an attempt to lay the groundwork for future talks on Ukraine.
So far, however, European efforts to establish direct communication with Moscow have produced no results.
“Putin despises Europe and has no interest in engaging with it,” a source told the publication.
Mikroplastike ni v možganih.
Znana študija, ki je trdila drugače, je bila ovržena - raziskovalec je onesnažil vzorec s… svojimi plastičnimi rokavicami 🤷♂️🙂
Microplastics are already inside us and they are affecting our health. Professor Ragusa explains where the real problem lies and why it's not just about plastic. Are you ready to find out what each of us needs to do to solve this problem?

Russia's fuel crisis now threatens the country's agricultural industry, with the Legislative Assembly of Russia's largest region Irkutsk saying "there will be no grain" as the entire region now faces an imminent collapse in agriculture due to farmers' inability to purchase gasoline and diesel.
@jankoslavm@drfilomena Agree.

Hillary Clinton says when she was Secretary of State there was “constant” and “relentless” pressure by Prime Minister Netanyahu and then-Defense Minister Ehud Barak to secure U.S. backing for a military strike against Iran.
Clinton recalled hours-long phone calls where Israeli officials used leverage tactics, frequently telling her their "planes are on the tarmac" to imply an imminent, unilateral strike.
Clinton says she would respond to pressure like that with: "Well, good luck."
The New Yorker’s David Remnick asks if she felt the U.S. was being manipulated or "played" by a foreign ally that receives an enormous amount of American aid, Clinton agreed and said it happened "all the time" due to Netanyahu's intense focus on the issue.
🚀❗️ Russian medium-range Oreshnik ballistic missile has serious accuracy problems due to manufacturing difficulties and a shortage of relevant equipment, including gyroscopes, - Dallas Analytics.
The investigation notes that one of the key vulnerabilities of the missile is the GU-503 gyroscopic device, which is part of the guidance system. This component comes from old Soviet developments, and its production and maintenance face technological problems.
The material emphasizes that even minor errors in the operation of the gyroscope can lead to a significant deviation of the missile from the intended target at long distances.
Because of this, some launches of the Oreshnik ended with the destruction of objects far from the planned coordinates.
Dallas Analytics also published documents indicating problems with the production and calibration of the GU-503.
