I genuinely appreciate the two questions in the Rolling Stone interview that focused on Jungkook’s songwriting, and I agree that he has been consistently stepping up as a songwriter. However, there are a few critical points that deserve to be highlighted to provide a complete picture of his artistry.

• First, the phenomenal success of his self-composed "Still With You" (2020) cannot be overlooked. The track lists only 2 names in the credits, with Jungkook being one of them. When it was officially released on streaming platforms three years after its initial release on SoundCloud, the song reached a peak of No. 13 on Melon’s Top 100. Many artists fail to achieve this kind of result even with heavily promoted, newly released solo tracks.

• Second, his contribution to BTS's discography is extensive. According to KOMCA, Jungkook has songwriting credits on approximately 17 BTS tracks released prior to the latest album. Notably, on tracks like "Magic Shop" (2018) and "Love Is Not Over" (2016), he served as both a songwriter and a co-producer. Furthermore, the Japanese track "Your eyes tell" was originally a song Jungkook wrote for his own mixtape before offering it to the group. His active participation has continued through recent songs such as "Stay" (2020) and "Run BTS" (2022).

• His journey as a songwriter began at the very start of his career. Jungkook participated in writing "No More Dream" and "We Are Bulletproof Pt.2" released in 2013. While his name does not appear on the KOMCA credits for those specific tracks, he is officially credited in the physical album liner notes of 2 COOL 4 SKOOL. This indicates that he had already been participating in songwriting as early as age 15, if not earlier.

• Jungkook was promoted to a full member of KOMCA in February 2024, with the full membership requiring ‘substantial musical creation’ measured by the cumulative amount of royalties from one’s copyrighted works. He was the fourth BTS member to achieve this status, following Suga (2018), RM, and j-hope (2020). He is still the only vocal line member of BTS to hold the status.
