My daughter went to buy her first car alone and I told her, I said, "Call me before you sign anything."
She's 28. She's smart. She didn't call.
She did send me a photo, though. Picture of the finance sheet. There was a line item, $1,400, listed as "dealer prep and protection package." She'd already asked them twice what it was. Twice they said it was "standard."
She pulled up the car on their own website while sitting in the finance office. Listed price. No mention of any package.
She put her phone face-up on the desk and pointed to it.
The finance guy looked at the screen for about four seconds and then said he'd go get his manager.
She waited eleven minutes. Then she picked up her purse and walked out.
They called her twice before she hit the highway. Third call, they offered to remove the charge. She went somewhere else and bought a car for less the following Saturday.
I'm proud of her. I'm also slightly irritated she didn't call me first. Both things are true.
🚨BREAKING: A retired British police officer has been convicted and fined for sharing a meme.
The post said:
“Fun facts about bacon! People who eat bacon have a lower chance of marrying a 9-year-old!”
Stephen Gray, 65, spent 30 years as a police officer. He said the meme was satirical and meant to spark debate about child marriage.
A judge ruled it “grossly offensive.”
He now has a criminal record.
FRANCE: Paris is currently looking like a war zone. Again.
After setting the country on fire, ‘students’ are now fighting the police.
As Trump has said, this isn’t about schools. This is about Islam wanting to take over. It’s a religious war of conquest.
You don’t have to have a perfect life to share a perfect message.
You can still be healing.
Still learning.
Still struggling.
Still becoming.
And God can still use your voice.
Don’t let the fact that you’re a work in progress stop you from pointing people to Jesus.
Keep sharing the Word.

Meet Cody Christopher Patterson, 20, of Hazel Park (Detroit).
He's a monstrous POS.
He allegedly broke the arms, legs, and ribs of his 4 week old son because the baby was crying.
Investigators say he admitted to taking the baby into the bathroom and forcefully squeezing and manipulating the baby's limbs.
Doctors discovered:
* Fractures in both arms
* Fractures in both legs
* Broken ribs
* Breaks in different stages of healing, indicating separate occasions of abuse
Patterson's bond was set at $500,000 cash or surety.
I have some ideas about appropriate punishments.....
💔 Abigail Idan was only three years old when, on the morning of October 7, her life changed forever.
That day, Hamas terrorists stormed her family’s home in Kibbutz Kfar Aza. Her parents, Roy and Smadar, were killed in front of her. 💔
Abigail’s father tried to save her and pick her up, but he was shot while trying to protect his daughter. Soon after, both of her parents were dead.
Terrified, Abigail ran out of the house barefoot. She was covered in her father’s blood and desperately searched for somewhere safe to hide. She reached the home of their neighbors, the Brodutch family, hoping she would be protected there.
But there was no safety there either.
Abigail was kidnapped together with the mother of the family and three of her children and taken into Gaza. For the next 50 days, the three-year-old girl was held captive, moved between underground tunnels and apartments above ground.
Meanwhile, her nine-year-old brother Michael and six-year-old sister Amalia remained in their family home. They hid inside a closet for about 14 hours.
The children stayed completely silent while gunfire and screams could be heard outside. Throughout those long hours, they remained on the phone with a welfare emergency-line operator, who comforted them, reassured them, and stayed with them until rescue forces finally reached the house.
Michael and Amalia were rescued.
But their little sister was no longer there.
Three-year-old Abigail had lost her parents and was now being held hostage.
According to her aunt, Tal Idan, the conditions in captivity were extremely difficult. Abigail suffered from severe malnutrition. One pita had to be shared among five hostages.
During all 50 days of captivity, Abigail was not able to bathe even once. After her release, her family discovered that her small body was covered in lice.
«She was completely covered,»her aunt said. “It took us a long time and a lot of effort to get rid of them.”
The hostages were constantly moved from one place to another, living every day in fear and uncertainty.
On November 26, Abigail was finally released.
A small, quiet girl returned, having experienced things no child should ever have to endure. She had lost both of her parents and struggled to understand where the life she once knew had gone.
According to her family, Abigail became especially sensitive to loud noises and afraid of the dark.
«She is not the same child she was before,»her aunt said.
Today, Abigail, Michael, and Amalia live together with their aunt and uncle. They are growing up without their parents and slowly learning how to feel safe again. What they went through will always be part of their lives, but they are now surrounded by family members who are doing everything they can to give them care, warmth, and love. ❤️🙏
A man grabbed 2-year-old Owen from a park and started running down the street with him in his arms.
But Owen’s 10-year-old brother and 8-year-old sister took off right behind him.
They chased him past a grocery store while Owen’s sister screamed for help, and that’s when two teenage boys heard her and joined the chase.
Now the kidnapper had 4 kids running after him, yelling and drawing attention everywhere they went.
Eventually the pressure became too much, so he dropped little Owen in an empty lot and ran.
Thankfully, Owen was safe and unharmed, and police later arrested and charged the suspect with kidnapping.
Owen’s brother and sister refused to give up on him, and those two teenage boys heard a child screaming and ran toward the danger instead of away from it.
