Although Muslims are around 15% of the population in India the share of Muslim members in parliament never crossed the 10% mark.

The BJP which talks about 'Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas' is in its regime for the first time since Independence, and there is not a single Muslim Minister. The BJP is the first ruling party without a single Muslim parliamentarian.

There were 27 Muslims elected to the Lok Sabha in 2019. Total Muslim representation stands at 4.8% in Parliament.

In India, the last Muslim Chief Minister was Mehbooba Mufti, after J&K's demotion to Union Territory none left. India is home to about 200 million Muslims, the world’s 3rd largest Muslim population after Indonesia and Pakistan kept marginalised in Politics.

The other marginalised communities have had political access given to them to overturn the prejudices, specifically through reserved seats. India’s Scheduled Castes are about 16% of the population and are given 84 reserved seats in the Lok Sabha.
Acknowledging the injustice to them the Scheduled Tribes, which are 8% of the population, get 47 reserved seats.

Muslims have none and are the most under-represented section of India in Parliament. If in some parallel universe, Muslims are getting seats in the LokSabha as per their share of the population, it should be a minimum of 70. The highest number was 49 in 1980.

In the Karnataka Assembly elections in May, the BJP did not put up a single Muslim candidate in a House of 224 Members of the Legislative Assembly. It was the same in Gujarat.

In Gujarat, where the party has run the Govt since 1998, there has been no Muslim BJP MLA for 25 years. There has been no Muslim representative of any party from Gujarat in the Lok Sabha since 1985. It was Ahmed Patel in 1985 the last. Today, the BJP does not even pretend to want Muslims or to be inclusive in any way.

In UP at present, the Cabinet Minister Minority Welfare Waqf & Haj Dept is SHRI DHARMPAL SINGH.

The sole Muslim Minister in the UP Govt is Minister Danish Azad Ansari Minister of State for Minority Welfare. There are approx 40 million(4 crore) Muslims in Uttar Pradesh.
In the Union, Govt Smt Smriti Irani holds Minority Affairs.

Most parties give Muslims tickets as a token share and that too usually in constituencies where they are a majority or close to a majority.

In Delhi where Muslims form about 13% of the total population, the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP Govt has only one Muslim minister.

In every manifesto of the BJP, one word that is repeated (also by their senior leaders in rallies) is 'Appeasement'. However, there is no proof that appeasement of Muslims exists in real, what is evident is exclusion & discrimination. For that, you may read a few pages from the Sachar Committee report, not required to read full. In the arena of Indian Politics, the 15% is almost invisible, vanished.
