because not everyone just moved to NYC. A lot of people being priced out of NYC are natives. My elderly mom is here. Other family is here. My career is here. It’s hard to leave my home and family behind but I also shouldn’t have to.

the universe likes to test me but also reward me - case in point: waiting for the 2/3 after work and noticed a roach just hanging out on the tracks that would MOVE when a train would come across the way so I moved further down the platform to be away from the roach

because I did this I ended up in the SAME TRAIN CAR (I got in first) with someone I have seen perform off broadway and broadway a lot and they sat right across from me and I clocked them immediately and I had to funnel all that excitement downwards, lol.

Astrid and I finally went to the little diner approximately a block away from our apartment (we’ve lived here for years now) and I had a moment where the waitress could not believe I ordered two dishes but, to be fair, I don’t think she knew I would eat a tiny bit of both and

take the rest home (broccoli and cheddar egg white omelette with fries instead of home fries and challah bread French toast with blueberry compote). but I laughed because it reminded me of a time at ihop where I ordered two different five stack flavors and the waitress
