Iraola pros/cons

Pros:
- His foot football could unlock anfield
- Proven track record of improving players
- Adapts well to players departing e.g. semenyo, kerkez, huijsen

Cons:
- No elite club experience
- Not used to facing low blocks
- New to the 3 game a week schedule

First thing for me is hes got to connect with the supporters better than Arne did. That synergy has to be there. He has to feel the club and get what it means. If he does that he'll have a right chance of succeeding. Anfield will also back his front foot style of football

I like the style of football style he plays and like the stories how intense his training is from the likes of Semenyo.

But I am slightly concerned....

He has had 1 real break out season in management, at Bournemouth he has basically maintained Howe trajectory, Bournemouth last 4 finishes, 15th, 12th, 9th and 6th.

No manager in last 20 years has come from a smaller Premier League to a big Premier League club and succeeded, Frank, Moyes, Potter, Lambert and even Rodgers at LFC.

How many low blocks has Iraola faced with Bournemouth???

Only a few weeks ago he nearly became new Palace manager.

And do ye really trust Richard Hughes judgement because I don't.

Absolutely loving the fact that arsenal lost but I will admit I noticed this too. There was a notable difference in the officiating in the 2nd half. Every tight call was given in PSG's favour and the ref was loving booking the arsenal players. I thought it was very suspicious tbh

Found it genuinely sad at Anfield yesterday that Slot didn’t feel comfortable joining the lap of honour with the players because of the fear that our own fans would jeer or boo him. Definitely some potential squad players there we could nab for next season from the three relegated sides. Mane from wolves looks good and even Flemming from Burnley. And then for West ham youve gotta look at bowen, fernandes, castellanos etc
