Why is the world splitting into East vs West?

Largely because the entire world is tired of the West’s endless hypocrisy, lectures and wars of aggression.

The world saw the US, UK, and EU preach about a ‘rules-based order’ and then proceed to destroy Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya and so many others.

The world saw the US, UK, and EU preach about ‘human rights’ as they committed war crimes and torture in many countries in the Middle East, and then enabled+armed Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

The US, UK, and EU called Russia’s🇷🇺 invasion of Ukraine an ‘unprovoked war of aggression’, imposed sanctions, and boycotted everything Russian. When Israel committed genocide in Gaza, there was a chorus of ‘Israel has the right to defend itself’.

When the US launched an unprovoked war of aggression during negotiations against Iran, the UK and EU stood by in cowardly silence.

Global south nations don’t view Russia and China as the paragons of virtue, they simply are sick to death of the West pretending it has some form of moral high ground, and the inherent right to set the ‘rules-based order’ when at every stage, the West has torn up international law.

BRICS is rising, Africa, Latin America, and Asia are increasingly cooperating with Russia and China, finally ignoring Western lectures and condemnations…

Because they are empty and riddled with hypocrisy. If Western officials are confused as to why the world is increasingly splitting into East vs West, they should do two things:

1. Understand for most of the world since 1945, it has been ‘the West vs the rest’.

2. Look in the mirror.

Absolutely horrible precedent being set here. As a US citizen I will be routing for Belgium to win this game.
