Leaked memo from US House Budget Committee Republicans reveals Trump tax handouts to the wealthy estimated at $1.2 Trillion, includes:
-Repeal 15% corporate profit minimum tax
-Elimination of estate tax for millionaires
-Lowers corporate tax rate to 15%
-Reinstate corporate tax loopholes
The memo also advocates for stripping away $80 billion from the IRS. They also want to tax hospitals and eliminate the charitable deduction for donations to hospitals. The memo also proposes a $1.9 TRILLION tariff on all imports.
To pay for the tax breaks for the wealthy, the memo proposes $2.2 trillion in tax hikes for middle and lower income families. Includes:
- Repeal green energy tax credits
- Eliminate mortgage interest deduction
- Raise taxes on single parents and students
- Eliminate credit for child care
The memo is also targeting vulnerable groups and individuals, especially the elderly, disabled, and impoverished families, it takes aim at the following:
-Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
-Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
-Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
Healthcare services for millions are also at risk, the memo targets weakening or scrapping the following:
-The Affordable Care Act
-Medicaid
-Nursing home staff
-Medicare
Consumer protections are also on the chopping block. This means it'll be easier for corporations to scam and steal from USians. The memo cuts the following:
-Securities & Exchange Commission
-Consumer Financial Protection Bureau
-Office of Financial Research
-Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac
The memo also reverses all Climate Change protections and replaces it with items that will damage the climate even further. Again targeting national parks, and weather services, while expanding coal and offshore drilling.

Those who are impacted by Senator Babet's words here might like to make a complaint to the Australian Human Rights Commission.
You don't have to put up with this. Australia is not America. A fact that Babet may have forgotten.

If you have the time to watch the video in the tweet below, you’ll know why we’re now seriously considering departing Twitter, even though it will probably damage running our campaigns.
We know we tweeted just a few days ago we were staying to fight. But the extraordinary damage caused to every country on the planet by Musk’s actions (as painstakingly demonstrated in the video below) suggests it’s hypocritical to remain.
We won’t make a final decision for at least a week or two. It’s difficult.
In the meantime, please follow us on Facebook, Insta and/or Threads if you have any of those platforms, if you want to keep up with our work. It’s possible we may also start on Bluesky but our initial impressions of it aren’t good and appear not to suit our campaigning requirements.
Hope to see you on another site soon.

It costs half a million dollars a year to keep a child in prison.
94% of them will go back to prison before they turn 18
Divert that to prevention & let’s see what happens. You would only need a 6% success rate and $500k per child per year to achieve it.
.@Neal_Katyal on Trump’s call to end birthright citizenship: “The 14th Amendment is as clear as day that there is no way he can do that. If he tries that, he will lose in court every day of the week.”
@senatorbabet
No one gives a shit what you say in your house, but the defaecatory nonsense you regularly espouse here is unacceptable for an elected representative of your community. I’m sure they won’t be making that mistake again
If the insensitive flog doesn’t care what other people say about him, why has the gerbil blocked me. Must’ve got under the fuckwit’s skin. This idiot is not fit and proper to be in our Senate.
@thejackhopkins@DanielleWeg Yeah. Grew up during the Cold War, hearing about MAD and just waiting for the world to blow up. The antagonist of every movie was from the USSR. I truly can't believe that people fall for this revisionist ideal of Russia being benign. FFS , where are the critical thinkers?
On the eve of the election, we remind all Americans what is at stake. This election is a battle for America's future: a country of choice, justice, and freedom or a regime of total control. This election is about right and wrong, not left or right. Unity or division.
America, you decide.
