Irresponsible and disloyal of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to use Hungary’s EU Presidency to visit Moscow and President Putin. It sends the wrong signal to the outside world and is an insult to the Ukrainian people’s fight for their freedom.
Viktor Orbán stands alone in this. He does not speak for the European Union and not for other EU Heads of State or Government.
Thank you @SwedishPM Kristersson for hosting me today for a great discussion. Sweden has long been one of our strongest defense partners. We will look forward to welcoming you soon as a @NATO ally.
Today, I got to witness first-hand the incredible airpower and maritime capabilities of the Swedish Armed Forces. It was an honor to see them in action. I look forward to calling Sweden a fellow @NATO ally.
Russia‘s manipulation of the truth has reached another low point.
There is no parallel between Nazi Germany and intl help for Ukraine in defending its territory and people. Holocaust denial, distortion and trivialization are against EU law and EU values. https://t.co/T522PiDLPa
Even in the age of firearms, Archers are useful for driving invaders out from 🇺🇦!
Thank you to @SwedishPM Ulf Kristersson, my colleague @PlJonson and the 🇸🇪 people for the 10th package of security assistance to Ukraine.
Our warriors will master the artillery and vehicles quickly.
Sweden is increasing military assistance to Ukraine with heavy and advanced weapons. We stand with Ukraine together with our international partners. Ukrainian victory is essential for a free Europe.
My thoughts are with Ukraine and the families of the victims in today’s tragic helicopter crash in Brovary. Among them Interior Minister Denys Monastyrskyy and several of his colleagues.
Sweden stands with Ukraine.
Welcome to @Europarl_SV@SwedishPM!
@sweden2023eu comes at an important & difficult time. One which requires bold decision-making & leadership.

Worrying reports of explosions and casualties in Poland, close to the Ukrainian border. My thoughts are with the victims, their families and the people of Poland. The Swedish government is closely following the developments.
