Jennifer Lawrence says she refused to lose weight for The Hunger Games because she didn’t want young girls to feel they had to look a certain way to be Katniss.
“The Hunger Games felt like an awesome responsibility.”
“The books were huge, and I knew the audience was children.”
“The biggest conversation was about my weight.”
“People kept asking, ‘How much weight are you going to lose?’”
“They’d say, ‘Well, it’s called The Hunger Games.’”
“I didn’t want all the girls dressing up as Katniss to feel like they couldn’t because they weren’t a certain weight.”
“I couldn’t let that seep into my brain.”
“I just wasn’t going to do that.”
i've said this before & i'll say it again: when the explosion happened, she was running for HIS life.
i really don't understand the people who believe she planned on sending him to space when he's literally her 2nd in command. like we did watch the same movie...right??
reposting again because i also think people need to realize the monologue stratt says at the end of the book about grace being a coward was 100% correct. he is a coward many of his seemingly innocent traits are direct results of his cowardice
