That actually makes Paul’s problem worse. You say teaching authority came through the Twelve and those trained under them, yet Paul explicitly says his gospel was not taught to him by any man and that he didn’t initially consult the apostles (Gal 1:11–17). So by your own standard, where does Paul’s authority come from besides Paul’s claim of private revelation?
