Big fan. But poor choice of words here, given Jacobs legal issues. Optics are bad. “Psychopaths” have been known to be one thing in public, and another in private. Let’s just hope no charges are filed, and everything can get back to normal. If he is charged—your post will not age well. My advice—-stay off of social media entirely your rookie year. You’ll thank me later. 😎🏈
@MikeBara333 It’s amazing to me how people can live in such an echo chamber, be easily manipulated, low-informed and routinely contradicted by actual evidence, creditable testimony and obvious facts—and yet still tout, arrogantly, that they KNOW everything.
@MikeBara333@theblackvault This is devastating to hear. Two days ago I bought online tickets and now I have to go see it. The reviews are so terrible and people are so upset. I’m so bummed already. If I could get a refund on my online purchase, I would.
I'm just throwing it out there...😎
"For the first time in the city's history" means it took until 2026. Isn't it interesting it actually took this long to happen? And, in one of the most progressive cities in America? A city controlled exclusively by extreme Democrat Progressives, Marxist Communists, and a low-informed and easily manipulated city populous. All lead by a Political Party power structure that MUST retain its power, access and control at all times. Couple this, with a general city populous that depends predictably on promises of continually increased social benefit services. Services and direct benefits which are paid by the taxpayers of Minnesota. And, somehow, finally, they're having a drag show at City Hall. It took until 2026. Shame. I wonder if the LGBTQ+$%^&*() Coalition will allow this injustice to go unaccounted and unpunished for? Surely, the 'leaders' of your party had a reason to not allow this 'special event' for all these years. Could it be...that they really don't care about ANYTHING they claim they do? That they're repeatedly inauthentic and phony, saying and pandering one way---yet acting and living another way? Do you really think they're looking out for you? Or, only looking out for themselves? Power, Access, Control, Money?
Not trying to stir the pot---but, talk amongst yourselves. 😎😎
A couple of former 2nd round picks with big upside potential. If either one of them had stayed healthy, they BOTH ALMOST CERTAINLY WOULD HAVE cashed in for a lot more. 💰 Seems like the players got what they needed and wanted (to guarantee themselves), and the Packers just might have secured two potential pro bowlers at just a fraction of the price they’re actually worth.
However, only time will really tell…🏈
Why? Is your faith in God not strong enough to overcome simply watching a Hollywood produced science fiction 'movie'? Why would you concern yourself with any Spielberg says? Is there more you're not telling us?
BTW, you spelled 'Spielberg' wrong (see above). It's 'i' before 'e', except after 'c'.
@MikeBara333@SeattleONTap As a Packers fan, (who lived in Minneapolis for 30 years) you can’t imagine the joy it brings me to watch MN Viking fans realize they had a Super Bowl winning quarterback (and former 1st round draft pick) and decided to simply let him go… for JJ McCarthy. 😎🏈
I always liked Tucker.
I don't understand the sudden change in his 'positions' over the last 6 months or so.
I just don't. But I can guess.
First a little background, so I can provide some receipts as to my 'speculation'.
Tucker claims the catalyst for is new position, was Trump and the US attacking IRAN in July of 2025, and destroying IRAN'S main nuclear sites. He adamantly believed Trump's actions would cause immediate and future violence, and the attack was completely unnecessary and unneeded. Thus, having the Trump administration escalate tensions in the Middle East.
Moreover, he was extremely concerned that Israel and a corrupt Benjamin Netanyahu were behind every US decision on Iran, especially under Trump, and that Trump was somehow being 'played' or manipulated by Netanyahu. Then, Tucker began banging and banging on that drum, until he alienated many in the MAGA orbit and finally his relationship with Trump himself.
I agree, that Benjamin Netanyahu is most likely a corrupt Prime Minister and has serious legal and political issues back in Israel, once the Iran war is over, which is likely why Netanyahu wants to continue the war indefinitely. But, based on EVERYTHING I've seen, read, viewed or heard, it's highly unlikely Netanyahu, the Mossad intelligent agency, high profile Jewish Trump donors or Israel lobbying groups would have or would ever be able to influence Trump when it comes to Iran and what is best for America. Trump may accept information and intelligence from Israel, but he's well aware of how Israel loves to spy on America, America's allies, and does everything in its powered to influence America to look after Israel and its interest, instead of America's own self interests. Again, Trump is aware and so are all his key advisors of this.
I seriously doubt Israel has the influence over Trump that Tucker and others are reporting as fact. I'm open minded to accept evidence to the contrary should it become known and fully vetted, but right now, any suggestion Trump is conflicted or affected by Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, or any Israeli source just does not hold water or past the smell test. Why? Because by all accounts, Trump would never do that and there is no history of him being influenced in any way, by any one. So, that's a big stretch to suggest otherwise.
There's no doubt, Tucker is very intelligent. He is extremely savvy. He is excellent at diagnosing traditional political relationships, and is connected to many powerful Washing DC insiders, not to mention many media elites. He often speculates as to what's real, and what's propaganda---and he's usually right. In the past, he's been right on many, many issues. But, given his independence from traditional media, such as FOX or CNN---he is now free to speculated and espouse anything and everything that is on his mind, at any time. This does not really jive with the MAGA approach. Why? Because Tucker is not MAGA. Tucker is 'MAGA adjacent' at best. He appreciates and agrees with probably 90% of what MAGA is about. But that last 10% he disagrees on, is a killer, especially for someone like Tucker.
Yes, Tucker has 'worked his way' to success and put the time in to be recognized and appreciated as a leading and highly sought after political and news analyst. He 100% has earned that. He deserves what success he has.
That being said, Tucker has never had to really and truly worry about the day-to-day struggles and finances that most Americans have had to deal with. He's never had to bust his ass on a physical job as a young man working for minimum wage. He's never had to get up early in the morning, to go to a job he absolutely hates, which pays nothing, just to pay the bills or save for an education. He's never had to worry about climbing a corporate ladder or trying to impress his boss, in an attempt to better himself, and achieve the 'American Dream'. He's never had to worry about missing a rent payment, paying a phone bill, or wondering if he'd have enough gas in his car to make it to payday. He's never had to worry about job security, at least not like you and me. You may be thinking, 'But I thought Tucker was all about faith, family and country?' 'America first!' Does it really matter that he may have come from money and had an easier ride to the top than most?
Well, maybe, but consider this:
Tucker Carlson's biological mother, Lisa McNear Lombardi, brought significant generational wealth when she married Tucker's father, Dick Carlson. Dick did not come from wealth, but married into it. Lisa came from one of California’s most storied frontier families. Her mother was the heiress to a massive cattle baron empire; her great-great-grandfather, Henry Miller, once owned nearly 3 million acres of land west of the Mississippi. She apparently abandoned the family when Tucker was six to live a bohemian lifestyle in Europe and later legally disinherited her sons (leaving them $1 each in her will), Tucker and his brother (Buckley) successfully sued her estate after her 2011 death to claim a substantial portion of her fortune.
Don't feel too bad for the Carlson boys because...
The most prominent source of the family's multi-million-dollar fortune came from Dick Carlson's 2nd marriage in 1979 to Patricia Caroline Swanson. Patricia was the granddaughter of Carl A. Swanson, the founder of the Swanson food empire, and the niece of prominent U.S. Senator J. William Fulbright. Her family invented the ubiquitous "TV Dinner" and built a massive food processing conglomerate. Patricia legally adopted Tucker and his brother, Buckley, integrating them directly into one of America’s most prominent wealthy families. This fortune provided the family with a luxurious lifestyle.
So---needless to say, Tucker has ALWAYS had privilege and wealth. Privilege few Americans ever get to experience. To quote from the movie Batman Begins "You've never tasted desperate". And Tucker never has.
Plus, consider this---Tucker's father leveraged his professional success to climb into elite social and political circles. Thus, widening his circle of influence, especially among coastal elites in California and Washington DC. Tucker and his brother, Buckley, were beneficiaries of this lifestyle and social circle. Under the Reagan and Bush administrations Tucker's father, Dick, held several highly influential federal posts. He served five years as the director of the Voice of America and later as the U.S. Ambassador to the Seychelles.
This is a lifestyle the average American growing up in the 1970s and 1980s never saw, or even knew existed.
Tucker was raised in La Jolla, California, one of the most exclusive and wealthy coastal neighborhoods in San Diego. He attended St. George's School, an elite, highly expensive Episcopal boarding school in Rhode Island, before graduating from Trinity College in Connecticut. Later, his father's deep connections in Washington, D.C., and media rooms opened early professional doors, helping secure jobs and positions at various news organizations. Tucker's father came from very humbling beginnings but was able to climb his way, and claw his way, not only into wealth but into prestige and power.
Tucker's father no doubt had a powerful influence on Tucker and his brother Buckley. It's obvious that both of them respected him immensely. He was able to provide them a lifestyle and connections he never had. I think Tucker would be the first one to agree with that.
But now it's 2026.
Tucker understands the game of political power and influence and how to play it. Not only has Tucker had wealth growing up, and amassed another fortune in media, but now he has the freedom and independence to speculate and pontificate on everything and anything, at any time. His new solo endeavors allow him to further cocoon himself from any specific long-term financial or social ramifications. This has given Tucker, and his brother, Buckley, the ability to stake their claim in the bigger political and cultural environment and power sphere.
But again, back to the original question. Why has Tucker changed so drastically and suddenly? Why has Tucker reversed so abruptly, and come out against Trump, and the Trump Administration's actions, especially on Iran?
Power and influence.
Tucker is playing the game. The longer 'power and access' game.
Tucker is positioning himself for 2028.
Not to run for President himself, but to be THE leading political influencer and king maker, AFTER the 2026 midterms. When Trump would be on his way out...
For Tucker, my best guess is his recent change is not about money. Not even close. It's not about views, clicks, branding or even his own personal ego.
It's about POWER, ACCESS AND CONTROL.
The power to significantly influence and motivate (and perhaps even manipulate) people to Tucker's way of thinking, to Tucker's way of seeing reality---all exclusively from Tucker's point of view. Critical thinking has its place, but ONLY through the prism of Tucker's world view. And, he is very convincing.
Tucker does not relate to the average American and MAGA, not because he doesn't care about America or its future---but because he simply can't relate to MAGA or the average American. It's altogether too foreign to him. He's been highly educated, highly connected and highly paid for years. He has no real understanding of the hardships most Americans have been through and continue to be put through. You can clearly see, he has made every effort TO UNDERSTAND and RELATE to the average American. But, in the end---he cannot. It's just impossible for him.
Tucker has spent his life surrounded by liberals and progressives, battling them, fighting for the conservative position from his vantage point---but that's not the actual view point of today's MAGA crowd or the average American. The American who has spend the last 30 years fighting for that American dream .
There is no doubt Tucker loves his family, his dogs, his country, appreciates nature and solace, and wants America to be a place where anyone can live in peace and obtain the American dream. It's just---his vantage point is a bit skewed.
There are only two (2) paths one can take in this life. Two unique sets of values to choose from.
They are:
-God
-Family
-Country
(GFC)
Or
-Power
-Access
-Control
-Money
(PACM)
Trying to combine these two paths is impossible. Just like the movie 'HighLander': "There can only be one".
Tucker does not need the money, but it's clear he is coveting power, access and control.
He wants to be a major player in 2028, in some capacity or another. Breaking with Trump was the only way to keep this quest going.
To be clear, I don't think Tucker is deliberately lying nor do I think he is intentionally trying to manipulate, but clearly that's the direction he's moving in. For 2028.
And unfortunately---for people like Tucker, who come from wealth and privilege, have had little struggle in life and have had much success throughout their lives---they often feel a sense of entitlement. Meaning, their opinions and positions mean more, are more correct---are 'better'. Typically, these folks believe they are indeed better educated, more sophisticated and more culturally aware. Therefore, they are uniquely suited to make the best choice or decision---always.
Plus, even supporters understand, Tucker can be extremely petty and closed off. If he believes you have wronged him in some way---he may never forgive you or even give you a chance to state your case. That kind of behavior is very indicative of people that can dish it out but can't take it. People whom have never really had to deal with frustrating and devastating losses, being chastised or talked down by people they once trusted, or having their ideas being rejected utterly and dismissed. When it happens, those kinds of people often exhibit toddler behavior, complete with emotional meltdowns and inappropriate verbal responses.
I invite Tucker to come back to ground level and reevaluate. Just because Tucker comes from privilege and wealth does not mean that he is somehow a bad person or doesn't care about America. That's far from what I'm saying. However, I truly believe that from his vantage point, he is not taking into account factors that he can't recognize, simply because he can't see them. If he truly cares about humanity and the American people, he should be willing to listen, far more than pontificating on a reality that may or not be happening.
If Tucker is proven right on the turmoil with the Iranian war, a war created by Trump's actions in the middle east, which he claims will exacerbate Muslim hatred for the western world indefinitely, bringing violence and chaos around the world like we've never seen before---I'll be the first to admit I was 100% wrong. But, if history is any guide---that will not happen.
However, my best bet for the 'what is he doing', Tucker is positioning himself for 2028---to be THE voice that directs our next President, whomever that might be, in the direction TUCKER wants America to move in. Not necessarily what's in the best interest for ALL Americans.
But, we shall see...
