I spent my early 20s in Vancouver (early 90s) driving around in no AC in 36 degrees sweating my balls off.

It has always been this. The Trump era is the extreme case of the exact same thing.
@david_parker Canadians are narrative driven and the narrative is tied to the left most US position.
We were productive when that orientation was productive. Now it's not, but we insist we're right.
@Hitchslap1 The argument against comes from a twin fallacy - collapsing group dynamics against individual instances & rationalizing away individual insight against group think.
It's a narrative strategy leveraged against both groups and solo thinkers. Story matters, not insight.
