A milestone for Coasterners Health Access Foundation!
We’ve established a formal Board of Record Agreement with Alberta Innovates/HREBA, strengthening independent ethics oversight for our health research in accordance with TCPS 2.

This short animation illustrates the core logic of difference-in-differences: separating the observed change from the change that might have occurred without the policy.

4/ 🌱 Thrive: Most health is made outside the clinic. Thrive brings prevention, mental health awareness, and maternal, child & healthy-aging programming to the communities that need it most. https://t.co/K0nBSAYsQx
Four programs. One mission: health equity.
🚀 Ascend — youth pathways into digital health & STEM
🌍 Connect — health literacy & navigation
📊 Research & Insights — evidence for action
🌱 Thrive — prevention at every age

3/ 📊 Research & Insights: Community-based research, program evaluation, and policy analysis — evidence generated with communities, used for communities.
2/ 🌍 Connect: For many families the barrier isn’t that services don’t exist — it’s finding, understanding, and using them. Connect turns confusing systems into usable ones through health literacy, digital skills, and navigation.
1/ 🚀 Ascend: The people building digital health systems rarely reflect the communities facing the greatest barriers to care. Ascend builds pathways — skills, mentors, certifications — so underserved youth help lead the systems that serve them.

Here's my 2025 LinkedIn Rewind, by https://t.co/UNpI5LTDHQ:
Thrilled to share my 2025 rewind — a year of steady research momentum, collaborative scholarship, and new academic roles at New York Medical College.
⸻
📊 2025 by the numbers:
• 4 peer-reviewed publications
• 2 acceptances in one week (October 1, 2025)
• 1 solo-authored causal inference study
• New roles: Graduate Research Assistant (Jan–Sep) and Graduate Teaching Assistant (Aug–present)
⸻
📚 Publications:
1️⃣ Income Inequality and Self-Reported Health: A Difference-in-Differences Study (solo author)
Journal of Primary Care & Community Health
https://t.co/QNAutDueEv
2️⃣ Systemic Racism in Canadian Healthcare: A Policy and Equity Analysis
Journal of Primary Care & Community Health

3️⃣ Interoperability as a Catalyst for Digital Health and Therapeutics: A Scoping Review (2015–2025)

4️⃣ Remote Work, Well-Being, and Healthy Labor Force Participation Among Older Adults
International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health

⸻
💡 Key lesson from 2025:
The solo DiD study reminded me that robust methods matter most. Initial models suggested policy effects, but trend-adjusted analyses revealed no significant causal effect — reinforcing the importance of pre-trend testing in policy evaluation. Replication materials are on OSF.
⸻
🙏 Grateful to my co-authors and mentors:
Dr. Kenneth Knapp, Dr. Michael Gusmano, Dr. Adam Block, Temitope Kayode, Abimbola Adegoke, Mallika Singh, Abigail Steger, Debby Dawodu, Akorede Ade, Ayoola Bayowa, and the NYMC community. Your collaboration made this year possible.
⸻
A few highlights from the journey:
• February: Kicked off the remote work systematic review
https://t.co/sg5AsEy1Ne
• March: Attended HIMSS and engaged on clinician burnout
https://t.co/HwO0dKTzYb
• October: Two acceptances in one week
https://t.co/42nXbL8QrK
⸻
🔍 What's next:
I'm actively exploring postdoctoral, faculty, and research roles in health policy, digital health, and public health informatics across Canada and the U.S. If you're hiring or know of opportunities, I'd welcome a conversation.
Here's to 2026 — more rigorous, equity-centered research and teaching ahead.
