What a fantastic time we had at the Botanic Gardens becoming ornithologists, entomologists and botanists. A huge “Kia ora” to our fabulous @ChristchurchCC facilitators Pete and Tracey, as well as our amazing whānau helpers. We are excited to continue our journey! #bromleyschoolnz
This week we have been working on our inquiry in preparation for our trip on Thursday. We spent time discovering living organisms in Cypress Gardens. Yesterday we learned about food webs. We can’t wait to continue expanding our knowledge and curiosity! #bromleyschoolnz
What an amazing day!!! Starting off with breakfast and goodies courtesy of @crusadersrugby.
Followed by our first Samba session with the CSO, jellybeans music and then a performance by the CSO at the end of the day! We are so grateful! #bromleyschoolnz
Our first Reader’s Cafe session for Term 4. Enjoying sharing a range of texts. Many of us in Koru 4 absolutely love graphic novels. Does your class have a specific type of text that they enjoy the most? #bromleyschoolnz
We loved our time in Diving Deeper this morning. Ms Nicholls challenged us to think about what a journey looks like. Next we read the story Feather. Finally we created some native bird artwork, thinking carefully about showing texture with the pastels. #bromleyschoolnz
Persuasion…how might we try to persuade our parents? We had some interesting discussions this morning before trying out some role play. Figuring out some good tactics to use and sharing strategies that have been successful. #bromleyschoolnz
This morning we had a surprise visit from @MasterchefBrett. We were fascinated with the information that he shared with us around our healthy school lunches and how we can help to make wise consumer choices that can benefit everyone. Thank you for inspiring us! #bromleyschoolnz
This photo pretty much sums up our rugby team at their game on Friday. Great support and working together as a team, meant they came away with a win 42-5. #bromleyschoolnz
A great afternoon at Hagley for Winter sport today. Well done to all teams for their effort today. Both Netball teams and Soccer won, whilst Rugby and Hockey came away with losses. Well done to Miah and Bella from Koru 4 for getting player of the day awards!
He aroha whakatō, he aroha puta mai (If kindness is down, then kindness shall be received). A huge kia ora to Miss Gardner for organising such a beautiful Matariki celebration this afternoon. As always our Kapa Haka representatives did us proud! 💛
