The more FDE work I do, the more I feel the despair of building an AI application company.
Every time the model gets better, a lot of things I spent months building and accumulating can suddenly become useless. The model just eats them.
So why is FDE still worth doing?
In the end, I think taste, judgment, and the willingness to take responsibility are still human things. AI can help you make a decision, but it can’t be the one responsible for it.
At least for now, Context + Skill + Workflow is still where experienced people have a real advantage.
Context especially.
I’ve been using Feishu’s recording device as much as possible during work, basically trying to distill myself into something AI can understand.
But there are still years of life experience, judgment, instincts, even a lot of tacit knowledge and subconscious stuff that I probably don’t even know I have. All of that affects how I make decisions and how I act.
That’s very hard to replace in a short period of time.
Of course, in the AI era, “a short period of time” might only mean one year.
Anything beyond one year, I don’t think I can predict anymore.
Reading my own GSC data honestly:
- 289 impressions, all from irrelevant queries
- Avg position 6.7, but for the WRONG words
- Zero impressions on "codex reset"
Indexed is not the same as associated with a topic. That is an authority problem, not a content one.
First real Search Console data for https://t.co/nTOAazYuSd: 289 impressions, 4 clicks.
The queries: "rf photo studio", "great wolf lodge near me", "Winterthur tax 10.20%".
Zero people searching for Codex resets.
Google indexed the site. It just has no idea what it's about yet.
How the resets stacked up, quarter by quarter ↓
Two things moved at once: they got more frequent (6 per quarter in Q1 2026 → 28 in Q3) and less apologetic (outage compensation fell from 83% to 11%).

Day 1 of building Slow Canvas in public 🎨
A site for slow-looking at famous paintings — HD deep-zoom, guided tours, zero art-degree needed.
64 pages live. 22 indexed on Google. Today: launched on Pinterest. Tomorrow: Klimt.
#buildinpublic
@DmitryBBLV Exactly the bet — teach people how to look, not just what to look at. Klimt went live on Day 2, and gold leaf at deep zoom is exactly where the guided tour earns its keep ✨
