I try to focus on hopeful, helpful things. Or on work to make things better. But sometimes I step back, and I see all the grief and loss in the world right now, and all the losses we don’t know are yet to come, and I’m just really, really sad.

Over the next while we are going to think of ways to be the best allies we can, using the skills we have, for the long-term. No child should grow up living in fear because of a system our ancestors helped create. We need to do better. And it needs to come from the heart. 2/2

We have been away from social media for a while, but we wanted to say that we have listened and followed the links posted by our friends on here to donate. Hearing the kids talk about #blacklivesmatter gives me (mom) hope for the future. But people are suffering now. 1/2
