As an adult I had the opportunity to develop my critical thinking skills long before present-day AI came along. When thinking about my young children, and the inevitable use of AI in their schooling, I believe we should instruct AI to adopt the Socratic Method when teaching them.
As an avid Formula 1 fan, I envision a future where I am sitting in the grand-stand at Eau Rouge, surrounded by cheering fans, wearing augmented reality goggles, following the main broadcast and commentary, whilst flicking between driver on-boards, until I hear the cars approach.
A valentine's poem, to Niki.

Here's the thing about infinity:
if you can imagine it,
then it is happening right now
in an alternative universe.
Now faith is, optimistically imagined,
that that right now
can be your right now.
The universe at its peaks: when I rapidly lift my 5 month old baby girl to the skies whilst making a rocket sound. Her gleeful expression at Max-Q resonates with my soul, as does her excitement each time she bounces her knees, in anticipation of the next blast off. #BoubouFalcon9
Thinking about specialised jargon. In Neurology they have acronyms for streamlining spoken and written communication, such as CIDP for Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyradiculoneuropathy. Whereas in IT, though WWW out aloud is longer than World Wide Web, it's typed quickly.
Late night coding session. Thinking about Meta and VR goggles. I see complaints that "goggles are too uncomfortable for long periods of time" but they'll easily solve that - luxury goggles are the future. The bigger question for me is the A.I. that will be used to guide us in VR.
Late night coding session. Thinking about an alphabet whose sequence of phonetic letters when read out aloud perfectly resembles the exhaustive list of all monosyllabic sounds as they were first uttered in chronological order of their first occurrence in our evolutionary history.

Having a baby has totally and radically altered my appreciation for - and prioritisation of - time. Late night coding sessions spark the engines in my brain far better than any other activity. Except for whenever I witness my girl smiling at me. That is the universe at its peaks.
I see future space travel comprised of Gravity Slingshots. Giant hollow cylinders orbit planets. Strings of these cylinders scattered across the stars form intersecting curves through spacetime. In distant alignment they accelerate and decelerate our vessels. #FrictionlessFrogger
I studied and practised Kung Fu in my youth. I would spar with my class mates on a weekly basis. The beauty of sparring in Kung Fu is the very slow albeit consistent incremental improvement in one's ability to absorb increasingly fierce blows whilst striking with accelerated chi.

Billionaire playgrounds fast approach. Rent a rocket trip around the world for your kid's 21st? No problem. But what did Star Trek teach us about rockets? Does there exist, perhaps, a correlation - between a society's equality and the advancement of its inter-galactic spaceships?
Spacetime renders pausing light, dancing through the wilderness. Darkness blender folding might, charming stardust furtherance. Blindingly we plunder yonder, faithfully doth sunder, squander. Child of I, you wonder why, advancement cost us dearly? So nearly, we clearly, will see.
When we enter the age of the technology meritocracy, with all these longevity-pursuing BDFL technocrats calling the shots, will our absolute transparency grant us definite security? Or will our desire for privacy wage endless war? How romantic, this future tech life of our doing.
There will come a time when we all take the collection of data very seriously. This will in turn give rise to an astonishing demand for data centre resources. Software and hardware engineers thus owe it to our children to optimise the storage of data, its lookup, and computation.
Is it inevitable, that carbon nano tech, minuscule A.I. medical bots, relaying data wirelessly with our neural chip(s), keeping an eye on things, keeping us artificially healthy - will eventually and wholly integrate into our organic autonomy, a bigger picture Darwinism of sorts?
Chocolate ice cream is poetry in my mouth. It tastes good, but eat it too quickly and it hurts. Somewhat paradoxically, it is most often enjoyed in the summertime, when it melts fastest, forcing you to rush it. But nibbling it slowly on a winter's day - now that's culinary jazz.
Trump vs Biden reminds me of Coke vs Pepsi. Different marketing campaigns, sure, but consider what they’re selling. Is it a tasty liquid? Or is it a thirst quencher? Or is it a calorie stimulus? Or are you just dehydrated, and you'll drink anything to stay alive? #USElections2020
