The beautiful calligraphy on this gorgeous fanart quotes a saying of the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. The series explores really well how education played instrumental role amongst Muslims and consequently in the life of Sitara our protagonist.

Even as a Catholic, I think it’s beautiful to see Islamic scholarship, which is responsible for some of the greatest advances in human history, depicted with the utmost care and reverence here. No effort was spared in making this as historically and culturally accurate I love that. It’s beautiful to see other faiths and cultures handled with care in anime.
