Als ik mijn leesdoel van 2022 wil halen moet ik nog 18 boeken lezen in de komende 11 resterende weken vqn het jaar. Ik heb een selectie gemaakt die bestaat uit romans, graphic novels en audiobooks. Om mijn leesdoel te bereiken moet ik dagelijks 50p lezen en 20 minuten luisteren.

I’ve always accepted it because I knew it was for the better. But it never failed to make me sad and now I’m just so happy that at least he took time to get better and find the joy of performing again. At least he’s still around.

So I teach 16-18 y/o and some of them know I am a huge one direction fan (never hid it, never will) and they asked me how I felt about Liam. I honestly told them I was quite sad as I knew they, as teenagers with obsessions, would understand. They started asking me questions -

I hope one day people realise how Zayn leaving that band saved his life. How him fighting for HIS identity saved his life. How him not chasing fame if it caused him anxiety was the best option for him. That we owe our faves healthier spaces/ people around them. They deserve it

On what I thought happened and how Liam ended up the way he did. The next question was “why did Zayn leave the band” and my immediate response was “so that he didn’t end up the way Liam did now” and it’s the first time that I’ve actually been happy with his decision.
