Homestuck the comic deconstructs childhood and Homestuck the epilogues deconstructs adulthood to a degree that I would argue you simply *can't* get the full experience unless you are an adult reading it.
right but having ones self-sacrificial tendencies be fueled by a selfish desire to be useful, wanted, seen as Good, etc etc is like snorting a line of coke right before the interview
@FlawedBread damn… I almost really told you “ah it’s because you didn’t learn how to read either, clearly!” but that would literally be too easy… & from your comment I don’t actually know how you feel about the issue at hand so trolling you for no reason doesn’t feel right…
almost all websites use a third party service, like AWS, to host their servers. however, OTW owns all their own servers for AO3. this keeps them safe from third parties that might restrict them, but it’s also VERY expensive. this is most of why they need donations. any questions?
@puigmoder drag is entertainment, part of that is publicity work so it makes sense they have avenues for visibility. that said, there most definitely are trans teachers, athletes, etc with platforms out there, but a trans teacher w/o a public platform still makes a difference to students
Or the fact that the distinction between “socially conservative” and “economically conservative” is false, because capitalism’s reliance on a perpetual underclass always results in social injustice. You can’t have one without the other. A zero-sum system requires victims.
Even most leftists have a fundamentally right wing analysis of the literacy crisis that's kicking their ass imo. Like they see it as a personal, moral failing that can be solved with greater personal responsibility & shame and are somehow actively hostile to a material analysis.
