🔴 SNOOKER / Qualifying for the 2023 European Masters takes place this week in Leicester. Players need to win a match to reach the main stages at the KIA Metropol Arena in Nuremburg, Germany between August 22-27.

🎱 Former WEPF World Champion Shaun Chipperfield defeated Rob Wharne in the Group 3 Final of the 2023 Ultimate Pool Players Championship.

Chipperfield joins other group winners Phil Harrison and Greg Batten in the next phase of the competition.

🏆 David Alcaide ousts Phil Burford in a thrilling hill-hill final to win the 2023 Jacoby Open at McGoldrick’s in Glasgow, Scotland.

The latest ranking event on the World Nineball Tour, Alcaide fluked the 8-ball before sinking the 9 to claim the title.

ASIA B ARE THE WCBS CHAMPIONS 🏆

Asia B defeated Europe B in the final to win the first WCBS Championship - a unique multi-cuesport team event which took place in Ankara, Turkey.

The Championship featured snooker, carom, pool and heyball (Chinese pool).

In a repeat of last year’s final, Jasmin Ouschan defeated Kelly Fisher 10-8 in the tournament decider to retain the WPBA Soaring Eagle Masters title.

Cao Yupeng made a break of 1⃣4⃣5⃣ - the highest of the tournament so far - as he won his group and qualified for the last 32 of Championship League Snooker.

David Gilbert was the other group winner during Thursday's action in Leicester.

🇨🇳🎱 CHINESE 8-BALL | Zhou Long is the latest event champion on the JOY Heyball Masters Super Tour.

🏆 Zhou defeated Shan Hongyu 21-18 in the final to claim the title in Lanzhou. He collects 300,000 Chinese RMB (just under 42,000 US Dollars) for his success.

✅ Shaun Murphy and Sanderson Lam were Wednesday's group winners in #ChampionshipLeagueSnooker.

Triple Crown winner Murphy won all three of his matches, whilst Lam went undefeated in his group.

There are just four more groups in the opening phase remaining.
