Haven't used twitter much, but will change that
@mwaddip @angry_penguins1 @DrewRoberts Sure, lets see if it surprises me. Ive been following caradano since 2017, and I only see it under delivering and younger l1s doing things way better. If I had to bet, I won't be surprised
@mwaddip @angry_penguins1 @DrewRoberts Ethereum is the most decentralized and battle tested smart contract blockchain. What has it not proven? Cardano is simply vaporware. And, where do you get these facts that haskell is used widely in the financial sector? Its probably used for internal tools on tiny scales
@mwaddip @angry_penguins1 @DrewRoberts The fact you equate "difficult/rigorous/formally verified" language to success of a project/ecosystem shows you aren't looking at what has happened in the past 20 years... The internet is literally made of JS, which is the most clunky, unverified, language of them all.
@mwaddip @angry_penguins1 @DrewRoberts Ehh, I have to disagree. The language does matter. Mass adoption will take place where there is the most amount of condensed creativity and mission driven DEVS. Haskell is literally confined to a few academic research based indivduals. Almost all the creatives are in JS space
@DrewRoberts @TheRealFloomby Why make something difficult when it doesn't need to be? What are the actual trade offs of building smart contract on haskell over the already battle tested and widely used solidity(which is similar to popular js)?
@KingKetos@JRNYcrypto Maybe because stocks represent ownership of companies that actually have product market fit and product demand? NFT's are simply tokens. There is no value in it of itself. The value comes when there is an actual use case for said token.
So since we are just arbitrarily changing the definition of a recession, can we also change the definition of long-term capital gains taxes to include anything held more than a month?
@JRNYcrypto the mindset of how people perceive NFT's are completely backwards. NFT's should be a means to an end. If you are buying an NFT hoping something will be built around it, that just seems idiotic. NFT's IMO will be a useful byproduct of a product that people actually want to use!
