Pond: A Sleeper AI Infra Project.

@PondGNN is building infrastructure to develop prediction models using onchain data by introducing incentive-driven competitions where top ML developers can participate and submit their models.

The best models receive incentives, and model developers retain ownership, provided they are integrated with real-time data and inference infrastructure.

1,134 model developers have submitted 2,076 models across ten competitions since mid-November 2024.

Currently, around 13 models are live on Pond. Examples include:

- A model that predicts 24-hour price movements of tokens launched on the Pumpfun chain.
- A model that predicts 24-hour price movements of tokens launched on the Base chain.

Users can also propose new AI model ideas on Pond, which may be selected for competitions. Currently, around 15 ideas have qualified in the model factory, where developers will compete for incentives.

One of the recent competitions on Pond has been sponsored by @VitalikButerin.

In summary, Pond is building a native crypto AI layer, bootstrapping foundational onchain prediction models that can be used in DeFAI Agents, Security Agents, and Trading Agents.

It is an intelligence infrastructure for DeFAI Agents.

Agents trained on these onchain models could develop their own intelligence, enabling them to achieve better results.
