Year 24 started today! You always wander how much you got left in the tank! Needless to say I was like a kid on Christmas morning today! Great bunch of hard working kids! 11 years until retirement, so dont let anyone fool ya, I ain't goin nowhere! 🤣🤣 Lets Go Blue!
Two Kapaun greats Omari Elias playing at Air Force Academy and Cal Purvis will be playing at Navy next year. Omari was Gatorade Player of the year when he was a senior and Cal was 4a defensive player of the year this year. They are representing our football program well.
Jack Hughes once again proves why he's America’s Sweetheart❤️🇺🇸
"I'm so proud to represent the Hughes family name… They sacrificed everything for all three of us to be in the NHL.”
America is in love with this kid.
Auston Matthews says his gold medal will go to his family, with specifically his dad saying he’s been with him through thick and thin since he was young and even got emotional seeing him cry after the US won the gold on Sunday: 🥹
“It’s for family, my dad, he’s been my number one supporter. Both my parents have, but my dad driving me to practices, he’s been there through thick and thin for me. I love him so much… I gave him a big hug when we got off the ice. I’m gonna start crying because he was crying over there. … It’s an incredible feeling to win.”

This is Ellen Hughes.
She is the mother of Jack and Quinn Hughes.
Both became Olympic champions today.
Being a “mom” isn’t a trap.
It’s the most important job in the world.
She just raised the next generation of American heroes.
Jack Hughes, winning goal scorer, with an absolutely perfect post game interview. “I love my country.” This is all we want from our national team athletes, just love the country as much as we do. Fantastic:
No place better, no people better. Love this team, love this OL.
There is nothing like playing in the Navy Blue & Gold. It’s been a heck of a ride.

All Willie Fritz does is win.
At 65 years old, he’s still rebuilding programs and stacking results.
Kansas roots. Midwest toughness. Championships everywhere.
Willie Fritz was born in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, played his high school football at SM Northwest, where he was coached by Tony Severino (who later turned Rockhurst (MO) into a Midwest high school power), before going on to play at Pittsburg State University.
🏆 Winning everywhere he’s been
• Coffeyville Community College
NJCAA National Championship as a coordinator
• Blinn College
Two NJCAA National Championships
Coached Michael Bishop, later a Heisman finalist at Kansas State University
• University of Central Missouri/CMSU
MIAA Conference Champion
Consistently winning seasons
• Sam Houston State University
Multiple national championship game appearances
• Georgia Southern University
17–7 record
• Tulane University
4-8 in first year in 2016
12–2 (2022)
11–2 (2023)
Complete program rebuild
• University of Houston
2024: 4–8
2025: 9–3
Huge Year 2 jump in the Big 12
Career record: 221–127 (college)
And everywhere he’s been, one thing stays the same, Willie Fritz recruits Kansas HS/Juco and trusts Kansas players.
Old-school coach. Proven builder.
All he does is win. Underrated.
He will face LSU this Saturday in the Texas Bowl.
