Jesus was called (TITLE, not NAME) Christ (Messiah) whence comes, "Christian."

Also He LITERALLY SAID "I Am that I Am." The implication is OBVIOUS. Further John makes it clear in the first chapter of the Biblical book by that name, Jesus IS God.
