For a teacher, speaking at academic institutions is natural; but speaking from a spiritual platform is a matter of pride, privilege and distinction. Today, I had the honour of being invited by the Brahma Kumaris on a very special occasion to address senior citizens and grace the Prize Distribution Ceremony as the Chief Guest.
While sharing my thoughts on spirituality, I emphasised that spirituality is not merely a way of life; it is the foundation of character, conduct and, ultimately, a meaningful career and purposeful life. Education may sharpen the intellect, but spirituality refines the soul and gives direction to our knowledge, actions and aspirations.
It was truly a mesmerising and deeply fulfilling experience to interact with people in the age group of 60 to 90 years. Their warmth, affection, blessings and words of appreciation after my address touched me deeply. Receiving blessings from such experienced and spiritually enriched souls was an inner joy and a moment of profound satisfaction. My heartfelt gratitude to the Brahma Kumaris administration for inviting me and giving me this wonderful opportunity to share my thoughts, experiences and reflections on spirituality.
I have always believed that knowledge makes us capable, but spirituality makes us worthy. When knowledge is guided by spirituality, character becomes our identity, conduct becomes our strength, and life becomes our message.
