The CSDS-NDTV Opinion Poll numbers clearly indicate that 3 narratives have trickled to every voter in Karnataka and the voter has made up their mind.

Narrative 1: BJP’s 40% Commission Govt must be taught a lesson

Narrative 2: The 5 Guarantees of Congress must be given a chance

Narrative 3: Jodo, Jodo, Bharat Jodo - Peace and Harmony are cornerstones of development and only Congress can ensure that

These three narratives are broadly what is driving a wave for the Congress in this election. BJP is unable to shrug off the 40% tag and voters don’t trust them to deliver development.

The CSDS numbers on who they want as Chief Minister is also telling with Congress leaders much ahead of PayCM Bommai and other BJP leaders by a wide margin. It shows voters don’t have trust in the faction ridden and corrupt leadership of the Karnataka BJP.

These numbers, and that of several other opinion polls suggest that there is 10% vote gap between Congress (around 43%) and BJP (around 33%). No credible poll has given the BJP more than 33% vote and many give Congress 40%+

A 10% sort of a vote percentage gap will result in a landslide for the Congress with 150 seats and restrict BJP to 40 seats ONLY.
