@mo_ouni I definitely see it from this side. Older people seem to think just because they don’t understand technology means they can’t trust it. But they have already given up their data in ways they don’t even realize.
@JonathanScottTU Im not too educated on the law involving this, but I wonder how fans who have this happen to them will try to take legal action against the stadium. #srm3224#group3
@JacklynFloyd42@dr_marshmallow@keithSTHM This is what I think of also. I work at a stadium doing ticket taking and you would be surprised how many adults don’t know how to find their tickets or put them in apple pay.
@LucasG_tuh14659 I feel like this is gonna be something fans acuse stadiums of really quickly. While on the stadiums part it is smart for business, it is really invasive and unnecessary. #srm3224#group3
I think it will be interesting to see how face recognition will be used and how many aspects of a sporting event they will try to replace or add on with face recognition. #srm3224
@tuk01319 The linc already is moving towards this direction how the started opening up ticket lines where i person does not have to scan your ticket, you just tap your phone on the machine but a lot of times it would cause problems.
@LucasG_tuh14659 I agree with this, the older generation especially is not very comfortable with the id of face recognition and feel like it’s invading privacy #srm3224#group3
an example of a sport sponsorship ad in spectator sport is the use of virtual ads. In the 2021 UEFA champions league final, there were many virtual ads seen in banners placed all around the field that were said to be “distracting”
https://t.co/E9BlJVb5c4 This article is a good example of amplifying women’s sports as it talks about how women’s athletes are taking initiative to talk about problems on social media to make change #srm3224
The last time I was at a phillies game, they had a dollar dog night which is a cool example of a value added sales promotion as they are able to sell products from sponsors as well as add something fun and enjoyable for the crowd. #srm3224
#group3#srm3224 It would be nice to see cable have a comeback, but I honestly can’t even think of what type of marketing they would need to do to try to make a comeback
@CalebSRM3224 This is definitely a good innovation because it’s good for the fans who just like to watch and it’s also good for the fans who like to look more at the stats involved in sports
@jackoves24 Unfortunately I really don’t think there’s anything cable tv is going to be able to do. Live tv is offered on most streaming services and they offer way more along with it
#group3#srm3224 I wonder if eventually there’s gonna be a company who does something so innovative with live streaming and media deals that it wipes out any competition with other sites. Kind of like amazon has done with online shopping
#group3#srm3224 With so many sites having media rights and live streaming, it’s hard to compete within the industry. I see services adding on more and more features as time goes on to make them to most used streaming site for live sports
