While it’s important to support our students and ask for educational reforms that positively impact the future of our youth, it’s also very important that peaceful protests by students are Not hijacked by anti national elements to create chaos & change the nature of the protest.

Seeing so much hate & divide online makes me wonder if bad elements in & outside our country have already started to work overtime to weaponise the anger & frustration felt by our students.

I don’t support CJP, and I don't trust people leading it and believe that they have their own political agenda. I worry it could become another India Against Corruption, where the biggest long-term outcome was the political careers of some of its leaders rather than the movement itself.

That said, I am completely against paper leaks. I believe the minister should resign. A resignation alone will not stop future leaks, but accountability has to start at the top. Every person involved, from the highest official to the last link in the chain, should face the harshest possible punishment through a fast-track process. The government must also put systems in place that make such leaks nearly impossible.

More broadly, I think the BJP has become increasingly arrogant on several issues. Whether it is caste, ethanol, paper leaks, UGC, or other concerns, there is a growing sense that even many of its own supporters are being ignored. No government should become so comfortable in power that it stops listening to ordinary citizens.

For the health of our democracy, every government needs accountability and those with unchecked arrogance must be humbled.

Dharmendra Pradhan should have been fired. I agree. He wasn’t. The next step for all those hurt by this audacity should have been to hold a grudge and take it out in the next elections.

Can't wait that long? Okay, protest. Peaceful protest is your right. Soliciting support from the masses? Fair game. A political party pulling the strings behind the curtain and paying celebrities to influence the masses to support your demands? Debatable, but still ok.

BUT, using this support to manipulate the masses, hoping to topple a democratically elected govt because that's the only way you can come to power? Lol, no way. To hell with democracy under threat, liberty under threat. Nothing is under threat. Such wet dreams should not be tolerated.

Any such attempts should be immediately and effectively handled with an aggressive police crackdown. An example must be set. It's been a long time coming.

Some people who joined CJP protest:

1) Arundhati Roy, who believes that Kashmir is not a part of India.

2) Colin Gonsalves, who filed a mercy petition for 26/11 terrorist Ajmal Kasab.

3) Prashant Bhushan, who approached Supreme Court at midnight to stop the hanging of terrorist Yakub Memon.

4) Nandita Narain, who sang "Bas naam rahega Allah ka" from CJP stage, a poem by Pakistani poet Faiz Ahmad Faiz.

5) Kunal Kamra, who said from CJP stage - "Yeh log Sita ke Pati ka naam lekar, Nita ke Pati ka kaam kar rahe hain" (They chant the name of Sita's husband, but they serve Nita's husband).

At what point does this even look like a protest against the NEET paper leak? If the objective was truly to seek justice for NEET students, the stage should have been given to the students who were affected by the paper leak, or to the parents whose children lost their lives due to the paper leak. Instead, the platform was given to the Islamo-left ecosystem. It clearly shows the CJP protest organizers' priorities and the real agenda behind the protest.

Sonam Wangchuk should also take a closer look at what is happening around him. He has been reduced to a pawn while others are using his credibility and public image to lend legitimacy to the movement.

A few days ago, Sonam Wangchuk himself remarked from the CJP stage that others were eating at the protest while he was on a hunger strike. He openly expressed disappointment and said - "If you cannot join me in an indefinite hunger strike, at least observe a one-day hunger strike, or skip one meal in solidarity." How many CJP protest organizers acted on his appeal?

He should analyze whether his struggle is being used to advance a broader political or ideological agenda rather than the cause that people believe he is representing, because the CJP protest appears to have become a platform for everything except the NEET paper leak.

Dear Sonam Wangchuk,

You need to understand one thing. A hunger strike does not move an establishment because of morality. It moves an establishment only when it fears the political consequences of your death. If your death can trigger mass protests, riots, or a law and order crisis, the government has an incentive to negotiate or accept the demand. Because in that case, stability becomes more important than ego.

That is why Congress gave in to Anna Hazare. That is why the British bowed down to Mahatma Gandhi. Both of them had massive public support. Hunger strike was never the source of power. The people were.

Now look at Jantar Mantar. Right wing does not support you for obvious reasons. Congress has not extended its support to your protest either. All you have are left liberals and Arvind Kejriwal, who himself is irrelevant in Indian politics today.

Even I want Dharmendra Pradhan to resign. Millions like me, who ideologically supports BJP, want him to resign too. But this protest will not achieve that.

Modi cannot take a hit on his image that he was moved by your protest. Because even if you die, government fear no political consequence. Whether that is morally right or wrong is irrelevant. That is how power works.

If you had remained politically independent, many more people could have stood with you. The issue you picked is legitimate. Maybe you are a man with good intentions. But the people you chose to stand with have zero credibility. All they have is some Instagram followers.

Your health is deteriorating. There are not even 100 people standing with you at Jantar Mantar. Please decide for yourself.

अयोध्या में श्रीराम मन्दिर से चढ़ावे की हुई चोरी, ग़बन व हेराफेरी आदि करने की मीडिया में आएदिन क़िस्म-क़िस्म की आ रही ख़बरें अति-गम्भीर व चिन्तनीय। ऐसे लोग क़तई भी बख़्शे नहीं जाने चाहिये, लेकिन इस मामले का राजनीतिकरण करना भी ठीक नहीं।
साथ ही, अब यहाँ मन्दिर में श्रद्धा के चढ़ावे आदि में आगे कोई भी शिकायत ना आये, इसके लिए देश के दूसरे विख्यात व प्रसिद्ध मन्दिरों में चढ़ावे आदि के हिसाब-किताब के लिए जो वहाँ व्यवस्था है तो उनका यहाँ अयोध्या में भी अनुशरण करके इस प्रकरण को जल्दी ही सुलझाना चाहिये तो यह उचित होगा।
इतना ही नहीं बल्कि देश में राजनीति का अपराधीकरण व अपराध का राजनीतिकरण तथा धर्म का राजनीतिकरण एवं राजनीति का अंध धर्मीकरण ना किया जाये तो यह सही व संवैधानिक होगा, ऐसी बी.एस.पी. की राजनीतिक पार्टियों को देश व जनहित में सलाह और साथ ही देशवासियों से भी यह अपील।

.@PriyankKharge’s letter addressed to RSS Chief Shri Mohan Bhagwat Ji is not an exercise in constitutional inquiry.

It is a calculated political provocation: thin on law, thick on presumption, and conspicuously marked by the entitlement of dynastic politics.

For a full century, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has served the nation openly, in the full glare of public scrutiny: building character, fostering discipline, strengthening social cohesion, and doing so without seeking state patronage.

Certain Congress leaders, by contrast, have preferred suspect diplomacy - flying to China to sign an MoU with the Chinese Communist Party, shrouded in secrecy and political discomfort.

The contrast could not be starker.

One has operated in Indian sunlight for a hundred years.

The other has repeatedly found comfort in foreign shadows.

Let us address Priyank Kharge’s demands with the precision they lack.

Article 19(1)(c) of the Constitution guarantees every citizen the fundamental right to form associations, unions or co-operative societies. This is not a privilege granted by the State. It is a constitutional freedom.

Article 19(4) permits reasonable restrictions on this freedom only on specified constitutional grounds, and only by authority of law.

Nowhere does the Constitution mandate that every voluntary association must first obtain registration from the State before it can exist or function.

The RSS is precisely such a voluntary association of citizens, united by a shared ideological, cultural and national vision.

It requires no certificate of existence from a minister.

It requires no political permission slip from a dynast.

It requires no registration merely because a Congress leader wishes to manufacture a controversy.

Priyank Kharge’s demand that the RSS must “register” or justify its legal existence is not rooted in constitutional text, statutory obligation or settled principle. It is a whimsical assertion unsupported by law.

In a constitutional democracy governed by the Rule of Law, no individual, however exalted his office, may issue dictates and expect compliance merely because he occupies public office.

Priyank Kharge may be a Minister in the Government of Karnataka. That office confers upon him only those executive powers that law recognises. It does not confer upon him the authority to summon any citizen or organisation and demand that it restructure itself according to his personal fancies.

Such demands, unmoored from any legal mandate, are non est in law.

A dynast indulged by inheritance does not become larger than the Constitution merely because he sits in a ministerial chair.

It was perhaps in anticipation of precisely this species of overreach by those clothed with temporary authority that Thomas Fuller observed: “Be you ever so high, the law is above you.”

Those words were later immortalised by Lord Denning in The Due Process of Law.

The point applies squarely here.

Further, Mr. Kharge’s insistence on disclosure of funding, expenditure, assets and taxation conveniently ignores settled judicial pronouncements.

The question of taxability of Gurudakshina - the voluntary offerings received by the RSS from its members - has already been examined by a constitutional court.

In Commissioner of Income-Tax vs. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, the Patna High Court upheld the principle of mutuality and held that Gurudakshina received from members is not taxable.

The RSS has never claimed exemption from the law.

It has simply refused to be bullied into accepting obligations that the law itself does not impose.

For a hundred years, it has functioned openly, published its activities, withstood bans, political hostility and repeated attempts by Congress governments to delegitimise it.

It has done so without taxpayer money. Or foreign funding.

The letter addressed by Junior Kharge in the garb of accountability stems from legal misconception and political malice.

It is unworthy of the constitutional office he holds and of the democratic traditions he claims to defend.

The RSS needs no certificate of good conduct from any dynast, however high his office.

The law remains above all of us.

Kharge junior’s pompous demands lie beneath it.

What an insensitive thing to say. Pathetic attacks in the name of politics, forgetting he's not a politician and has worked his whole life for securing India under many governments.

The man is 81 years old, his job is to use his brains and strategy to keep India secure from multiple threats and project power, in which he has done a commendable job. Like one comment said, it's like attacking Stephen Hawking as incompetent.
