The Indiana Bears doesn't quite have the same ring to it. How bad are Chicago's politics that one of the most iconic teams in football history simply says: no more.
The Bears’ Board of Directors voted Thursday to advance the stadium development in Hammond, Indiana, with the exact to be selected. This is this first time that the Bears’ board has voted on any stadium site.
As one source said, “There is more work to do but barring anything very strange, it’s a done deal.”
There was an estimated 23% voter turnout for the 2026 primary election in LA County. This seems, even though it's just a primary election, to be an absurdly low number for such a politically active community. I'm very surprised.
I haven't been to Washington, D.C. in years and years, but with all the beautiful images of the fountains and parks being readied for the 250th anniversary, I kind of want to make a trip.
The story of the reflection pool renovation is one of the best examples of government waste. Budgeted to cost $300,000,000. Instead, local pool and plumbing company was called at it only cost a few million. Smart solutions to simple problems.
@nithyavraman This is the strangest campaign ad I have ever seen. Why the back lot pretending that you’re out in the streets with the people instead of a large campaign staff? Whoever greenlit this idea is tone deaf.
@Deadspin I feel like he should seek medical treatment for his balance issues. It seems like maybe he's got a heart issue, and he faints every time he exerts himself. Something's not right here.
My take on this is very simple. If you are a white-collar worker and you're not leaning into AI, it's the equivalent of anyone back in the 90s and early 2000s who fought email and desktop computers. You will be obsolete, and you will be unemployable.
The question I would pose to these organizations is not about eliminating those roles from your organization. It is about what you can use those people for, and what things have they not been able to do because they didn't have AI before?
@elonmusk@Starlink Find a way to get Starlink on all of the cross-country Amtrak trains. It's such an amazing way to travel, except for the lack of an internet connection.
