Imagine a giant rolling heist whose challenge is that it will take so long that the first parts will be discovered before the latter parts are complete. So what the robbers have to do as they go is continually corrupt the authorities, scare off or fool potential vigilantes, and intimidate rival gangs who see the game and want a piece. Maybe the whole piece.

That's how I see the current corruption scene.

The problem with storytelling now in books and in movies is that all things have to bend toward correctness. Consent, equity, etc. It plagues all art and everyone seems so afraid of stepping out of line. But it makes for very very very boring storytelling.

@realsashastone It's a fair opinion but it is misguided criticism.
The movie is not depicting a literal narrative. This is myth and metaphor, not a documentary.
When has a Bond film looked credible.
CV is a great film.

I found it to be an outstanding piece of work given it's budget and constraints.
Similar to Billy Jack and first Star Wars films. Citizen is pure myth - Joseph Campbell would be proud.
