Imagining explaining to the Founding Fathers that the president imposed tariffs without an act of Congress and then removed them at the request of the King of England
The biggest story every day is that the President of the United States is an extremely bad person willing to destroy millions of people's lives, and, to top it off, revels in his own cruelty.
@AlanMCole Yes. My most vivid memory was only mildly noteworthy at the time: the music teacher handed my English teacher a note with tears in her eyes.
It only became relevant a few hours later when my mom yelled at me for laughing at pickup; I literally did not know why til l got home.
@AlanMCole This is a good point. I am still not sure I've seen Pentagon footage of the impact, even 25 years later. I just picture smoke streaming from the side.
School just told us "there was a plane crash" before they sent us home, so my first memories are weird.
@AlanMCole Were you watching coverage when the 2nd plane hit?
I believe you, but it's funny that this thread is making fun of people who say they saw something completely plausible, predictable & geared towards kids live, and your response is "I am certain I saw a terrorist attack live."
