I may be sidelined, but I am not defeated. This injury is my greatest test—a moment God allowed to strengthen my testimony. I believe He walks with me through this storm and chose me for this fight because He knew my heart could carry it. I’m deeply grateful to the Packers organization and my teammates for their unwavering support, love, and belief in me during this season. I trust His timing, His plan, and His purpose. I will rise again.

SIK Pre-Season Player to Watch: Ra’Shawn Jones is a 6’2” hybrid athlete and after transferring to Salina South from Leavenworth, is ready to have another breakout season. With a 4.4 40 time, 35-inch vertical, and strength numbers like a 405 squat and 240 clean, Jones brings serious versatility and explosiveness to his new squad. In 2024, he recorded over 700 all-purpose yards, 30+ tackles, and more than six interceptions while earning a varsity letter in his first full season of football. “I feel I’ve been overlooked too much and I’m ready to show my full potential that will not go unseen,” Jones said. “We've got big things coming our way if we stay consistent, us Cougars aren’t the same as last year. We’re here to take it all, our goal is to take the Mayor Cup in Week 1 and it’s gonna be a pain to stop us. Now at Salina South, Jones has already earned his first college offer from McPherson and is poised for a big senior campaign. Fun fact on Jones, he didn’t start playing football until high school. #sportsinkansas
